Normally speaking, yes, I would allow my child to complete whatever activity they are doing before I ask them to do something else. If their activity is educational, then I will usually provide an even greater leeway.

It really bothers me that people think that FPGA emulation is somehow different from software emulation. Calling it a “simulation” doesn’t make it different than emulation.

What I’m saying is that you shouldn’t make a carve-out in your rules and expectations of their response time for a specific category of play.

My kid isn’t a professional gamer at competition. When I need him to shut a game off, he’s gonna press whatever button it takes so that the game stop. I don’t care if its the pause button, the home button, or the power button.
