Cloris Leachman was a bit much, but I didn't mind the niece. Bear in mind that every episode is based on SOMETHING fucked up that happened in Titus's life, so I can absolutely see him beating the hell out of a creepy dude at her high school.

Christopher Titus is fucking hilarious, and this show didn't deserve to die at only three seasons.

Or instead of coming up with original plots, just do the books. You can wring two episodes out of each book without forcing the plot to drag out or cutting a bunch of interesting bits.

The Dresden Files suffered from a case of not-a-whole-lot-like-the-source-material for me. Harry didn't have a staff, he didn't wear the hat or duster, the whole thing with Ancient Mai was weird, and the one episode that WAS adapted from a book (IIRC), Storm Front, was just not very good in comparison.
