I guess the apocalypse wasn't cancelled after all...
Because the US much rather watch Grown Ups 2 that week
Dear China; Thank you for saving Pacific Rim. You may one day rule the United States, but for now you have done geekkind a great service.
I think Asian markets loved it because of the tokusatsu legacy a la Ultraman, Godzilla, Mothra, Rodin, Mechagodzilla, King Ghidora etc.
I'm up for it, especially after how disappointing Godzilla was...oh wait he was barely in his own movie.
Really? I thought they did a great job showing what the monsters were doing in this movie. Whereas in the recent Transformers movies, I couldn't tell what the crap was going on when they were fighting.
It's amazing to me that this movie didn't do well in the US. I freakin' loved it! What's not to love? I'm glad the rest of the world has better taste.
Not in the US, no, but thankfully the rest of the world stepped up.
Awesome news. Idris Elba killed it in the first movie and I wish he was the lead actor instead. Same for other monster features like how Bryan Cranston was beyond amazing in Godzilla movie, but he wasn't the lead.
Ahh...the soccer haters. Every four years, they're so proud of the fact that they don't care about the World Cup and makes sure everyone knows it. It's like the Bizarro version of soccer fan that takes the other three years and 11 months.
Things taste better covered in mint?
Nope. Howard made some super saves today. And I know it's cool to diss American soccer players, but I'd put Howard Top 5.
It's just drawn from US Soccer's internal naming system. There is the USWNT, the USYNT (youth) and the USMNT. Because the American soccer community was so insular for so long, it was natural for fans to just pick up the acronyms bandied about internally. Everybody knew what they meant.
Following up what you said:
Actually, that save was great; the sweeper should have been there to defend that goal.
Because the only reason they tied the game up was because of two terrible mistakes. Cameron scuffed slow ball and Bradley, well, Bradleyed. Otherwise we would have won it comfortably
Rewatch the middle 75 minutes; the U.S. controlled the ball and possession, and the field was tilted downhill towards Portugals goal all night long.
So, they are like everyone else?
