It’s a completely different situation. If this thing were priced and limited like the GT it would be more comparable, but it’s not. This is (presumedly) a regular, unlimited production car that will perform and look like an exotic, that any every day Joe with reasonable finances will be able to walk into their Chevy

What are the inherently more expensive parts of a mid engine car to develop vs a front engine car with a similar space frame construction?

He only drives it “a very few times a year” so A) the condition is a sign of neglect more than wear, and B) there’s no reason he couldn’t put that new interior he's got in it and get it a driver quality paint job since he doesn’t drive it anyways.

It should be supplanted by superior available technology but there is no reason it should be outlawed. 

Obvious answer is to get a newer Town Car with the improved 03+ suspension and throw a supercharger and some adtr suspension bits at it. 

I'm sorry to hear of his passing but I'm glad he's got someone carrying on.
