It’s a stretch to call the xj a 90s car, though. It’s an 80s car with an older engine updated with fuel injection. Even the Renix era 4.0 made good power, was reliable, and simple to work on. It wasn’t as clean as the HO under the hood but it was still easy.

I know that it will outperform most other muscle cars in just about every metric, and it will absolutely STOMP the classics in every single metric, but the prices have gotten insane. 80 grand for a Challenger! That’s the problem. They can’t kill Chevy trucks and consolidate as GMC because the Chevy brand is so old and strong, but they can’t kill GMC and consolidate under Chevy because of the perception of GMC being superior and those people not wanting a Chevy.
