All the fun!
All the fun!
I love quoting Blazing Saddles. (not a college boy)
And the 1800’s story this sexbot was pulled from gets plenty of criticism for its misogyny.
I was just pricing out vortec heads and a tbi setup for the 400 yesterday. My thought was it would be great in my Comanche, but the price goes up so fast and a running lq9 would be cheaper and better. The suburban is already set up for you so it’s an easier sell.
I’ve got a Chevy 400 that I just can’t justify building because I’ll get more power, more economy, and better reliability out of a better mannered engine that’s costs less by just buying an lq9 and camming it.
The one measuring net horsepower rather than gross wins. The one that also manages superior reliability, streetability, and economy while making more honest power. The one that’s a cam swap away from 400hp. The ls wins every time. I’ve got a good 400 sbc in my garage right now that I can’t bring myself to build…
Care to explain?
Not to mention the mod motors made shit for power without forced induction. Even the 4v was way down on power from the smaller cheaper lighter ls
Poor Paul must be spinning into a lamppost in his grave.
Another embarrassing blogger moment.
And the torque. And the sound. That glorious sound!
Good call. We should go back to pedal power, eliminate any potential problems with automobile technology.
So don’t use that type. Most I’ve seen use a standard manual style rack with a fast ratio and add a power assist motor on the steering shaft.
They’re light and simple
Modern electric power steering racks add approximately none of that.
Just replace the rear seat with an engine compartment and fabricate a swing arm to put the power down.
You also said ww2
That was also before the Nazis. And the closest thing I could find was his 1915 J1 which still had a fuselage.
Jack Northrup built his first flying wing prototype in the ‘20s, long before the Nazi flying wing was ever imagined.
A factory Harley bagger doesn’t make 100hp. They’re more in the 75 range. Just sayin....
