Pretty much. I created a bumble profile on a whim, used some random ok pics I found on my phone and went with it. But I had weird experiences like a dude who sent me flirty messages every day, set up a date then deleted his profile. And others who ghosted in the middle of conversations.

What you described is me 100 percent. I can write about any topic but myself so I’ve asked friends to write my dating profile. And I am a blinker and suck at selfies so decent pics of me are few and far between.

Agreed. I am not a confrontational person and despise conflict. The current friend group was ok to hang out with but now hat she has infiltrated, I have no interest in hanging with them.

Here’s the thing: no one in the current friend group knows that I found out Gossip was spreading the rumors. I found out through a third party. Made me wonder if Gossip tried to float the rumor with the current friend group and no one told me.

I dozed off on the couch and woke up with bits of cookie dough in my hair. Still better than being in the presence of garbage-mouth gossip.

Aww, sending hugs. I had to do that twice to my sick kitties and it hurts my heart to think about it 14 and 9 years later, respectively. The grief for me was as great as mourning the death of a family member.

Yeah that is so what I want to say. Or go out with them and tell them I have some really juicy gossip, repeat the rumor then look at the trash mouth bitch and say, “I wonder who was spreading that nonsense.” But some of my friend ends told me to take the high road, dump them all and move on. That doesn’t seem nearly…

Question: How do y’all deal with gossip, when the gossip is about you, from someone in your social circle? Do you confront the source of the gossip or do you ignore and move on from these so-called friends?

Well that’s a horribly inefficient system! I’d have better odds getting struck by lightning than having a staffer notice my brilliance and pull me out of a gray pit!

Thank you. I have been a member for more than three years and am stuck in gray purgatory. Sometimes I don’t even bother commenting because so few, if any, will see it. I like the idea of a probationary period.
