Nothing scarier than a creepy abandoned house in the middle of nowhere. What they found in their house was so freaky, I wonder the back story. Like maybe a caregiver killed the old couple and used the house for demented rituals. For sure there were bodies in that pit in the middle of the floor.

Yup. Like they haven’t seen that same joke made in these threads 938357829057230359530 times before. Yawn.

Some older shows if you can get them on streaming are “A Haunting,”
“The Haunted,” which deals with pets and the paranormal and “Paranormal Witness.” Here’s a great roundup, though I’m not a fan of Zack Baggins yelling at ghosts: Read more

Agreed. If there’s still a ban-hammer here, now would be a great time to use it on all Trump jokes. Not funny and not original.

I vote for the “fixer upper” story where the couple explores an abandoned house with creepy dolls and a pit in the middle of the floor and the one about Cassandra and her partner going to the dog park island in the middle of the night and sensing creepy things wanted to harm them.

That’s seriously creepy. How long did you live there and did you find out anything about the house’s history?

Oh darn! I wanted this to be a creepy cool ghost story about some drowned or murdered girl with a fascinating back story of how she got there.

LOL Yes! I love A Haunting, paranormal and spooky stories, especially those that uncover the source of the haunting. HOWEVER, I ONLY watch them during the day and I make sure there are many hours between those shows and bedtime. Otherwise I’d freak out after dark. I live by myself in an older home, and there’s only so Read more

WoW! Super creepy! Did anyone research the history of the house to find out if that girl died a tragic death there?

My guess as an expert who has watched too many “haunting-type” shows is that it was a demon who took a grandmother form, hoping to be invited in. They need an invitation to enter. Don’t ever invite them in! That’s why “she” was upset. <insert terror emoji here>

Coincidentally, I’ve just finished reading “The Girl Before” about a home intentionally designed as above with a minimalist aesthetic, whose rules prohibit curtains, artwork or even shampoo left on the bathroom counter.

I’m down with that. HGTV is my distraction when I do cardio at the gym and I remember the first time I turned it on and saw those fools and after two minutes, changed the channel. And even worse, found out their shows ran back to back on one of my cardio nights at the gym.

Agree on fake. And also the whole dynamic in which he is a bumbling country bumpkin doofus who can’t choose a pair of pants without the help of his long-suffering wife who has an annoyingly smug air of superiority.

So annoying. A life without wine, carbs....and Pilates is not worth living. I’d flaunt my carbs and wine too. Those who approach it because of the fad and the ability to lose a lot of weight quickly probably will not stick with it.
