Loudon Wainwright III wrote an amazing song where he juxtaposes the deaths of Hank Williams and Mister Rogers. Not surprisingly, it’s called “Hank and Fred.”

I keep coming back to Community, time and time again. It’s true that the fourth season had serious issues, and it loses a lot when Chevy Chase leaves, regardless of the circumstances of his exit. But to continually expand and explore the lives of the Greendale Seven during the first three seasons would be sheer bliss…
When I watch Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, I usually just watch up through George Carlin’s hitchhiker and then immediately skip ahead to Tracy Morgan’s dealer, and watch the rest of the movie. That leaves out the vast majority of the waste-of-time plot with the catsuit burglars, or whatever they are.
Five words: Telly Savalas IS Ernst Blofeld!
Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?

I agree. I haven’t been to Cracked since they shut down their video side—that said, Dan, Tom and Michael are writing for Bunnyears, and Michael, Adam Ganser, and various guests are running Small Beans—right now that’s just a bunch of podcasts, but it looks like they’ve got some sketches coming up—with (I think) Katie,…
But...I just got a new shirt at the Men’s Store!

Yeah, it’s not a big college town.
In a nice bit of weirdness, I tried to like your response and it responded by REMOVING likes from your star.
OK, I’m not going to defend Bono because I haven’t read the interview and am therefore lacking complete context. However, I have thought that we’ll be having a rock explosion in the next few years, because there’s historical precedent. In the late 50's/early 60's, popular music had become very light—Frankie Valli,…
I only recently got into his music, but everything I’ve heard by him was fantastic. The only place I’ll diverge from this piece is to add the fact that he never really stopped putting out music, putting out a covers album a couple of years ago and a wonderful album in 2015. It’s a shame he never even reached Marshall…
Some of these albums are good, some are bad, some are awful. Unless you give a reason for why an album sucks (and particularly so when categorizing music by gender or other factors), then it just reads like a random list. There’s a reason Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, et al, give justifications. They’re necessary…
Well, she is wearing a white shirt in her photo. Maybe that’s what got him confused. I know that the last time I wore plaid, everyone thought I was Scottish.
Tom Dunne—for a long time, Denver’s minor-league hockey team was the Colorado Rockies. The Avalanche didn’t come along until the 90s, when the Nordiques moved to Denver. And, of course, when their NL team came along, “Rockies” was no longer in use, so the baseball team took it. Hence, your confusion.
I live in Wyoming, and I’m embarrassed for my state...I personally prefer a good Highland Single Malt like Dalwhinnie, but bars don’t exactly carry it. Sigh...
Trying to convince my right-wing friends and family that progressive policy is often a good thing. And trying to convince my left-wing friends and family that some conservative policies have borne fruit.
Just have to say that Gyeong-ju is the ancient capitol of Korea. Yes, it’s touristy, with lots of nice hotels and trails and such, but to compare it to Branson is an insult. There are scads of ruins and temples and archaeological sites all over the place. If you must compare it to a touristy area, compare it to Angkor…
Is it just me, or did her statement sound like she was channeling Trump himself? I’m a smart women I have a high I.Q., I’ve been tested, I’ve been in gifted programs. So, I’m like, not a dummy.
Oh, she’s awful, all right. But she didn’t trash the place.
