An early example of this was when Taxi (which had a great cast, including Judd Hirsch, Danny DeVito, Christopher Lloyd and Andy Kaufmann) was cancelled by ABC and then picked up immediately by NBC. The cast did a series of promos leading up to the premiere, and I’ll never forget how DeVito, in character, gave the

Just a quick FYI--the photo of Mia Goth is from Pearl, not X (same universe, different character--and arguably the better movie).

If that’s happening, it means that the store isn’t calibrating its fountains often enough. When I worked at McDs in the ‘80s, calibration got checked and adjusted at least once a week, usually more often.

Just from what I saw, it looks great, and tonally compatible with the films. Do you know whether William Marshall’s estate is getting anything for likeness rights?

I remember an article about this in Premiere or one of those magazines--one of the meetings where Chase was haranguing Goldman about something or other, Goldman finally had enough and said something like ‘F--k you, Chevy. I’m too old and too rich to be bothered by your crap.’

‘Dial H for Hero’. Just a shlub who happens to get called into action every week with a new set of powers that he has to figure out as he goes. Think an updated and slightly more serious ‘Greatest American Hero’.

When I first saw ‘LA’ in the theater, I hated it. After catching it on video, I realized that Carpenter and Russel were making fun of sequels, and I started enjoying it as the comedy it is.

I used to have a collection of Bogosian’s monologues. It got lost in one move or another, but it was brilliant stuff. Oh, and for peak Bogosian, check out Talk Radio...Bogosian adapted the book, and Oliver Stone directed.

It’s just the same as Dr. Oz and his crudite video. It’s designed deliberately to panic people about inflation. Note that it’s on Fox Business, the far-right-but-not-completely-crazy arm of Fox News.

Also brilliant performances from David Rappaport and Kenny Baker (RIP to both).

2016 was, as Chuck Prophet puts it, “A Bad Year for Rock n Roll.”

Point of order on Adrian Belew—he wouldn’t join King Crimson until 1981. He came onto the national scene in Frank Zappa’s band in 1977, and then joined Bowie for a tour. After that tour, Bowie made Lodger, with Belew on guitar.

At least it’s easier in this case to recast the part. Now that mainstream audiences are more fully aware of the multiverse concept, a Barry Allen from a different universe can just zip in from the Speed Force and replace him.

This kind of annoys me. Cube is almost perfect as it is. Claustrophobic, paranoid, shocking, and with that amazing opening featuring the great Julian Richings...there is absolutely no need to remake/reboot this one.

ISHTAR: “Tellin’ the truth can be dangerous business/Honest and popular don’t go hand in hand/If you admit you can play the accordion/No one’ll hire you in a rock’n’roll band.”

Superman & Lois could easily find a home at HBO Max, as they hold the streaming rights. I know they didn’t do this with Batwoman, but I checked out of that one halfway through season one. By all accounts, including yours, S&L is much better, and would garner more views.

At least they’re doing some legacy casting. It doesn’t look like Shiri Appleby’s been too busy the last few years. I haven’t seen the ‘new’ show at all.

Fun Fact: In addition to co-writing the script. Raimi was the second unit director on Hudsucker.

I’m just going to pretend that the penultimate episode was the series finale. Eventually, I’ll convince myself of it.

I’m just going to convince myself that the penultimate episode of S7 was the series finale. This may take some time.
