My experience: freshly out of college, I took my first “real” job. Along with the new job, I got a 1991 Eagle Talon TSI. I got it with 80K on it; timing belt interval was 60K; belt appeared original. So I got it done immediately.

Nice bird, but far too dear at $105K.
Or, if it’s a new car and you have Geico insurance, get Geico’s mechanical breakdown coverage. It’s really inexpensive - on the order of $50 every 6 months - but provides 7 years 100K miles coverage with $250 deductible.
A different kind of kitemare...
I’m 44, driving my second Civic Si sedan, a 2014 model.
The one I remember the most wasn’t a child, but rather a friend of mine who passed his limit. Mike was a strong bicyclist; I was a wanna-be. At the age of roughly 16, we both attended a week-long training course at the US Olympic Training Center in Lake, Placid, NY. I was way out of my league, but he thrived... until…
That would be my first choice... or first-and-a-half.
Bravo, Raphael!
Tried to give it a try. Hit their site, changed to United States as I didn’t want money in the form of lbs... and immediately got a 404 error.
Regarding buying in NY now... if you try to work around it, be careful.
My wife bought me a supercar countryside driving experience many moons ago. I ended up going twice to Supercar Sensation in Concord, NC. The first time... they messed up and gave me the three cars I hadn’t chosen: M3, C63 AMG, and Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The law was on the operation that day - staking out the exits…
I’ve been full-time WFH for just about a decade now. I don’t get out much...
Sheldon Brown’s website probably has a solution for you buried deep in it, Raphael.
The Viper was designed to mimic the curves of the female body.
I am very concerned about the body this one is mimicking.
In November my son bought a 2010 Mini Cooper JCW. He and I met the seller, test drove it, and agreed on a price. Then I went back to work while my son and the seller went to a local independent shop that specializes in Minis and Range Rovers to get it inspected. It came away pretty darn clean, so we finalized the deal.
Came here for this. Thank you.
I carpooled briefly with a guy who got towed everywhere he went. Try counting one one thousand two one thousand for the two second rule? Try “Wuh”. A coworker and I would fight for the back seat, so as not to be the first to the scene of the crash.
What’s their target demographic for these?
Sure it’s not “KS”?
Immense battery weight FTW!
