Yeah I’m with you, unless they’re seriously holding back on us for E3 (which, why would they?) this is really disappointing. Sounds more like an expansion than an actual sequel - low on content and most of the things they’re talking about are incredibly minor quality-of-life improvements.

I know they’re adding new supers or whatever, but still only 3 classes? That’s kinda disappointing.

It devalues the concept of Steam Levels, so people are less likely to buy into that system and spend real money upgrading their profile.

Technically true, I guess.

Yeah, Sapkowski basically considers the games to be fan fiction.

53%.

Pretty classist/racist to suggest you aren’t allowed to have an opinion or interpret something unless you’re privileged enough to have attended a formal institution, isn’t it?

Yup, foot fully in mouth here. Feels great to be wrong!

When did the Jez comments get overrun by Nazi sympathizers? If it’s okay to punch a Nazi, why is it not okay to run one off the road?

It’s still $1200 Canadian, I don’t think that’s ever going to happen for me. :|

And? This isn’t about them.

Who cares? This isn’t me being flippant, but seriously, those people are less than worthless and I guarantee you wont find a single person truly involved in the Dota community who feels that way - why pay any attention to anything they have to say? It adds nothing.

Fuck, not usually one to get sentimental over people I don’t know personally but that legitimately stings. Sheever has been a pillar of the community since the beginning, always a joy to see her pop up at tournaments.

If you made a Venn diagram of Christians and Trumpsters, “Dumb White Motherfuckers” would be dead-center.

Any coach worth paying for wouldn’t be audibly uncomfortable playing certain heroes. If this were truly about paying high-skilled players to teach you, it would be a male-dominated space just by the nature of competitive gaming, unfortunately, being mostly filled with men.

You’re missing the point that even if these people are good at Overwatch, that’s not why anybody’s, uh, hiring them. It’s ridiculously easy to go over to Reddit, the Steam group of your choice or literally any other gaming space and find teammates for a game as popular as OW witout having to pay anybody.

And prostitutes can’t possibly be good at videogames?

Competitive TF2 was a thing long before those changes - think mid-2008 or so - but never really took off in the same way as CS for a number of reasons. The Mann Co/f2p updates basically killed the remainder of the competitive scene.

You’d be surprised.

I saw this with all the sincerity in the world and absolutely, 100% zero snark or ill-will directed toward anyone: At that point, just hire a prostitute. Most of them would love to play videogames with you!
