If you don't mind learning a little coding, AutoHotkey (http://www.autohotkey.com/) can go a really long way. The forums are also a great place to ask for help or look for previous solutions for your existing problem, too.

I've...got a lot going on, lol. Yes, my bar's at the top, and yes, it's themed.
I know I'm a little late, here, but I have to say, it's been a pleasure, sir. As a programmer myself, I certainly understand the wish to create - best of luck with your future plans!
You know, I just started using it, and was having the same issue. However, I'm warming up to the idea of Vimium's "insert mode" - basically, you hit 'i', and it acts as though it's not there until you hit "Esc".
Agreed. Especially considering that most programmers I know always follow an opening brace, bracket or paren with the close, then go back inside and continue - no forgetting to close it, faster to type together. You're not allowed to do that here...
Well played, sir. Well played.
Good stuff!
foobar ftw! Love the massive customizability, never had any trouble with it at all, and it's the most lightweight I've seen with this big a featureset.
Agreed! Plus, if you're at university, like I am, good luck letting them use your phone to keep an eye on the time.
Honestly, I never go to the home page - I just get the individual stories via RSS.
I've been considering making the switch, but I've never quite gotten around to it. I've never seen a good clone of Tree Style Tab for Chrome, is probably my biggest holdback right now.
In terms of the web browser, it might honestly be smart to have a slightly bigger drive and also have ubuntu or something bootable from it - if you can boot a cafe's computer from your flash drive, the only keylogger you're in danger from is a hardware one, which you can check for.
I fail to see how - everything that's actually sensitive and identity-threatening, and not already freely available, is encrypted. What's the hole I'm missing?
AutoHotkey is absolutely wonderful - if anyone has trouble getting started, check out the experts page on here (http://lifehacker.com/autohotkeyexperts/forum) (Might not work entirely correctly until they finish figuring out the commenting system), or check out the forums (http://www.autohotkey.com/community/). There…
As in to limit it to a certain amount? I don't believe so, but you can pause/unpause copies and moves if you need to do something else for a while.
Amen to that. As they say above, you forget about it until you try to copy on a new machine - and suddenly, it's slow and impossible to tell where it is in the process.
Hey, a fellow Executor user! I approve. :D
Yeah, my guess would be a good relationship with Ninite. Though it's not a hard page to build, so it essentially amounts to free advertising.
7zip does everything except creating .rar files (it does unzip them, I believe), and is the best balance of lightweight/full-featured that I've found. The only other utility I've heard about at all recently is PeaZip.
Yes - I actually did precisely that with a potential Google internship this summer.
