I bought Earthbound for the Virtual Console for $10 bucks, while every other SNES game on there was $8. I know I was taken advantage of but at least it was just $10. But spending $40 bucks for a GCN game when Wii games are being sold at $20 on the Virtual Console is just too much. GCN games should be $15.

If you think I actually believe it’s ever going to happen... not sure you’ve ever heard of hyperbole.

There was nothing in my original post that suggests I believe any of this will happen.

Bargain bin? Well, $45 is not an unreasonable price. N64 games cost $10 on the Virtual Console. Wii games cost $20. GCN games were never sold but I figure they’d cost $15.

Now playing

Jim Sterling seems to think it’s a good idea.

Oh, I know. I don’t expect to actually buy this game.

I never said $20 per game is bullshit.

It’s a weak effort made worse by the utilization of FOMO.

Bingo!

Nintendo has gradually valued loyalty less and less with each passing year for the past... 20 years or so.

I’m more fun than anti-consumer practices, at least.

Considering that’s how much those three games are worth, anyone spending 60 bucks on this compilation would get that kind of laff out of me.

That has only been true the past 3 or 4 years.

Exactly. Because Wii games, like Metroid Prime Trilogy, cost $20.

Considering the limited release window and the mere existence of scalpers, it will be $90 within 2 months.

What... how? How do you make such a stupid decision? How do you do something like this and not just automatically see red flags?

I will get this... in about 2 years and when it has dropped to $45.

Well-said.

The sombrero can go, I guess... but what’s wrong with the guitar? I have musicians in my family. That guitar emote would be perfect for them.

First time I saw “Latinx,” I thought it was a wing of the LAX airport that specifically took people to Latin American countries.
