I’m past day 80 on my current game, with a few titans and thanatos and a decent number of executors, on 100%. I doubt I’ll survive the final wave, but I might just get there.

I’m contemplating just accepting defeat in TAB. “Oh, hey, I’m doing okay. This might be it. I might at least make it to the end.” And that’s when a wave of fatties rolls you on day 60 or 70. I still haven’t actually produced a unit from an engineering bay.

Again, it’s extremely common, especially in journalism, including audio and video journalism. I get it, it looks weird to you. There’s still nothing wrong with it.

It’s a common and useful (because concise) construction. “City, state” is widely recognizable as a unit, rather than the comma being parsed as dividing clauses. Also, you’re misconstruing the phrase as indicating the scene of the action which in fact it’s assigning origin.

You really shot down my vision of a subreddit for attacking aggressive prey from a distance and getting it to follow you.

One writer on Giz did post a very dumb, borderline luddite article about smart speakers, yes. I also have it on good authority that a certain zombie child likes turtles.

Probably not playing much with holiday travels, but addiction of the moment is They Are Billions. Haven’t gotten further than day 72 of map one, but damned if I don’t keep going back.

I’ve only gotten as far as day 58, but the sandbox seems solid to me. Some people are getting game stopping bugs, which of course need ironed out, but I had no problems over 11 hours of play yesterday and today.

This post lead me to purchase and dump eight hours into They Are Billions. I really thought I was over RTS as a genre (it was my favorite for a solid decade), but TAB’s take on it sucked me right back in.

If you’re sticking to the coast, that’s a compliment to Florida. The rough part is that whole ‘Bama/Panhandle/SWGA nexus of nasty.

The good news: apparently we’re living in a dystopia for white supremacist psychopaths.

How much is there to say about either of them that hasn’t been said in years past? They have their business models, and they keep on keeping on. GOG’s relevance has only waned, and Humble is rarely much more than a third-party Steam sale.

How would you describe GOG’s year? Something like “clinging to life” comes to mind.

I’m guessing his toilet isn’t working and he needed somewhere else to do his business.

The game that defined PC gaming in 2017 for me was Rimworld. I got it around this time last year and have over 350 hours in it. This year saw 2-3 substantial updates bringing the core game to Beta, as well as some quality modding. Colony sims may not be the top trend in gaming, but they are a trend and very much

You’re not going to see it unless you look at your account while the transaction is still pending. Even restaurants typically hold 20% over your billed amount until they process their credit card transactions at the end of the night. Hotel expenses just tend to be larger, so the resulting hold is also larger.

I’d chalk it up to two things. First, the overall trend of putting off milestones and big life decisions, including big expenses: people are going to school longer, living at home longer, getting married later if at all, renting, Ubering, etc. Second, bad press and negative experiences surrounding debt, banks, and

We can call it Evolvatch, but then the soundtrack will probably have to be death metal.

This one, though, such a snoozer. I bought it on sale last month and currently have 14 hours in the game. I’ve put almost that many hours into my Sunless Sea relapse since the weekend.

Moral adequacy. KC’s position, and what s/he is asking of you, is bare minimum decency. You’re not being attacked. You’re perfectly safe - safer than anyone. Stop baring your teeth and beating your chest and try to listen to what people are saying.
