I should’ve stopped reading the first time Erin offered excuses for criminal behavior. But I kept reading and found more of it.

I think that their goal isn’t to sell batteries, but to get bought by another company.
750 miles is about two months of daily use for the average American.
The dynamometer test makes ZERO sense, unless the dyno is imposing a simulated road load, which would substitute for wind resistance. Once it’s up to speed otherwise it’s just a big flywheel, so the car’s doing no work except overcoming drivetrain losses. And that ONLY extended its “range” by about 10% compared to a…
Mazda MZR and Duratec 2.5 are indeed same motors.
I mean, Raph is still here so there’s all the proof you need
I welcome you to sit behind me, an average height man (5' 10"), in the back seat of a subcompact car.
Well, they will let any idiot publish their mindless bleatings on the internet.
Good point. Your diesel is probably more comparable to an EV too, in the sense that the torque figures are much stronger and come on sooner.
+1... My ‘14 535D x-drive weighs ~4260lbs and is rated at 255hp. Before tuning to bump the power it did 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and the quarter mile in 14.2@97. Both faster times than a V6 Camry, although trap speed is ~2mph lower, despite the extra 700lbs and almost 50 fewer hp.
I had the exact same thought. My BMW wagon is about 3700lb and has 240hp, and it is significantly faster than it needs to be for any regular-use car. I’m sure the torque figures are also much stronger on this EV.
I know you’re new here but you gotta do better than this.
As someone who spends *way* too much time in the air, I would prefer that there be no guns on the airplane with me, other than the occasional Air Marshal if absolutely necessary. But as you say, the chances are so slim that it’s just not worth even worrying about. And as much as I find the TSA to be Security Theatre…
They both feel like a stereotype from sports movies. Christian is the scrappier guy who grew up in the sport and knows all the tricks. Then Toto is the dominant rich team with state of the art facilities and expects perfection from everyone.
In a contest of who I’d rather hang out with, it’s Horner over Toto hands down. I enjoy the home-life antics of Horner in Drive to Survive (a title which I still f’ing hate, by the way). Maybe it’s just well rehearsed, but he seems pretty down to Earth and affable. And while both parties were guilty of it, Toto’s…
A few years back I took a short road trip to get my car tuned by an expert on the platform. As my (black) car was being strapped to the dyno I received an urgent call from my wife - the stray cat we took in had gone into labor! The first kitten was all black, to match my car, and was literally born while my car was…
Also “Warren Buffet still lives in the home he grew up in”, I’m sure that thing is as original as my grandfather’s axe.
The big Lambos have those doors because they need them. On top of being 6” wider than the Huracan, Aventador passengers sit farther inboard and lower, and the lower body work extends pretty far beyond the door, so a traditional door would have to open to a significantly wider angle to be functional. Why add…
I felt attacked from all sides — the bullying tractor-trailers on the highway, the flatness, the cold, the constant anxiety about where it would be safe to piss.
