I had watched Mike Brown's Mr. Magoo routine with the Cavs for a while at that point. I'm no Laker fan but I felt a genuine pang of sympathy for you guys when that happened.

After reading an article about Buss I went to both his and James Dolan's wikipedia pages to check out their pre-basketball management lives. I could not believe it, but Buss managed to make Dolan look industrious and responsible by comparison.

I think his point is that regardless of public image it certainly wasn't a secret to MJ's teammates (or around the league) that he was kind of a prick.
