Once witnessed a motorcycle accident that fell into category 1. Stopped and helped the guy and made sure he had someone that could come pick him up. He dropped the bike coming around a turn on a curvy road the opposite direction as me. I came through the corner and watched him sliding on the ground. If I had come

Watching that Laguan video it’s crazy how much he has to drive this thing like a muscle car. Getting it absolutely settled before giving it any throttle.  Also why’d they start/stop the timer ahead of start/finish?

A driver inexperienced enough to get times that slow is also going to be INCONSISTENT. Which means it could easily change rankings.

You can’t turn the nannies off on the non performance model 3. Traction control locked on, etc. I rode in the car with him, it was a mess and we spent all day on a private trackday with no traffic trying to figure out how to drive the damn thing when it would keep cutting in.

It’s a slow time even for a standing start on that track is my point.

Routinely? You mean the one Top Gear mag test at Thunderhill West where the driver’s M3 time was slower than my time in a stock-power Miata? Admittedly they did standing starts and mine was a hot lap but still...jeez. M3s are 10 seconds faster than Miatas on that track. Hardly a definitive test. I had a friend track

An M2 shooting brake makes a lot of sense and they should do it. Hatch just adds practicality and looks (I said it) to otherwise meh sedans.

$20 for 3 hours???

I would not take a Q50 over a Mazda 6.

When is the GTI getting here and will it have a stick.

Demand goes down and prices go up because that’s how macro-economics works.  Wait...

Who cares about RWD in a car with the driving dynamics of a hefalump. They’re good in a straight line and that’s it.

A car with a 9 second 0-60 can’t go 0-60 in 9 seconds unless you’re fully pounding on it. It takes a faster car to do 0-60 in 9 seconds quietly and effortlessly.

Yes but 0-60 in 10 seconds in an economy car is foot to floor engine wheezing redlining every shift. People don’t drive like that. You want to be able to quietly and effortlessly cruise up to highway speeds without wide-open throttle.

People like a car with pep even if that’s the only way they know how to describe it.

Can we talk about how shit the infotainment system is in these cars? No car play/android auto. Dated everything. Two screens with different hardware (one glossy one matte) and totally different interfaces and designs, that don’t talk to each other except for sometimes and do totally different things and yet still get

Definitely an all time favorite!

Oh hey this was on Legion last week!

Fifth generation Nissan Altima. Not interesting, not big, not small, no car play, no good features, bad to drive, bad gas mileage, buzzy CVT, crap interior.

Yeah but if you’re willing to tune your Alltrack you have to also assume you’d be willing to tune your GTI and they’ll do 300HP with just a tune. On the other hand you’ll obliterate the clutch.
