For 2 the question is are we regulation cars or are we regulating the air. States DO and should have some degree of authority for regulating their own environment if they do so in excess of federal standards.

Looks like you apex’d too early and that sent car to the outside. Trying to turn more basically just resulted in oversteer and rear end hit.

I bought a GTI with a manual and if they had one as a wagon I would’ve gotten that.

That’s the stock Insight steering wheel, same as S2000.

Just casually reading article not noticing by-line and then hit photo of Matt Farah on the scooter at end and it’s like....OH. OH. Well shit now I have to re-read this with that context.

Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles ARE EVs....

The German manufacturers seem to do this quite often. I personally think it’s so they can raise the power figure in later years and claim they tuned something.

Is it fun to drive? More fun than a Miata? $30k more fun?

I like driving. I also really like my Carplay system since it makes it easy to control music, GPS, messages, etc.

How does this interact with systems like Carplay?

There’s no laws about noise reduction for car interiors lol.

Twice in 4 months. I’m spending more on windows than car payments.

Do you mean that you only kept the car that long or that the engine only lasted 160k miles?

I’ll reserve judgement till I see one in person. Honestly I think it’ll look great in a few months. When the 7s came out I didn’t like them over the 6 but now the 6 seems super dated.

I’ve been liking my manual GTI in Bay Area traffic. Clutch is plenty light and very forgiving and the manual makes the traffic more interesting.

A GTI is a pretty nice looking and conservative car. I don’t see how it screams unprofessional.

My GTI has been broken into twice and both times they did passenger side rear window and folded the seats down to access the rear hatch under the privacy screen. You could do the same with the Jetta.

It seems like the Jetta finally caught up to the Mk7 GTI...with the MK8 just around the corner!

Nope.

Luckily in a Miata you can see behind you fairly well from the sideview mirrors.
