Sounds like someone works for the bulb company...

Enthusiasts tend to be down on any driver assist technology and there’s a lot of hate for backup cameras here, but I personally am glad they’re mandatory. Should mean fewer people gouging my bumpers when parallel parking.

I’m not a fanboy. Never really liked VW. Really hated them after diesel gate. Still don’t really like them or Audi. BUT, I really do like the GTI, and when comparing it to other options out there it became kind of a no-brainer when buying/leasing new, which I wanted to do after the maintenance/repair hell I was in

I don’t even want to tell you what the Volvo V50 I had for 9 months cost me before I dumped it.

I’ve been many places in (southern) California (looking at your Palm Desert) where the speed limits are actually much HIGHER than I might expect (being from nothern california), and its nice to quickly know that before I form a massive line of cars behind me doing 35 in a 55.

This was my end conclusion after wanting a Fiesta/Focus ST for quite some time. Enjoying my GTI. Also leased it cause....its a VW. Not trying to be in this car for very long.

Same question. Why not 300? Probably to not step on the Golf R. It’s just kind of crazy that these motors can reliably make that power with basically no changes.

Cars often can catch fire, they just don’t explode.

Why is this only making 268HP when a stock 220HP GTI can make like 305 with just a chip tune and all it needs to reliably support that is like, an upgraded clutch and some different coils?

How the hell can you work a clutch with no shoes on? Even doing this to move my car from the garage into the driveway feels awful. Heel-toeing is also challenging. When on the track I wear some flat sneakers with the insoles removed.

Was hoping to get one of these as a rental the other week but all they had were the XTS and the Infiniti Q50. Picked the Q50...what a lousy car, crummy interior, poor handling...but comfortable and quite a motor (V6 twin turbo 300HP.)

Its not a waste if you think you’re going to need 4 tows in a year and just need gas this time.

Because it uses one of your 4 service calls for the year and David is getting stranded all the time.

It would’ve used one of your 4 service calls for the year and knowing you you’ll need them all.

Biggest benefit would be things like autonomous big rig trucks. Work in autonomous mode on highway, and then have remote driver control for when they’re in cities, loading/unloading, etc.

I have a VW and I think this is dumb. It’s just one more thing that can and will break.

They don’t have one that’s built on fit the Turbo motor or take the power.

I’ve been on this flight! It’s like 100% oil industry people and costs a fortune for a puddle jump on a tiny airplane to a tiny boom town on the edge of the world.

Forgot to add on my story that I specifically asked the inspecting dealer about the CV joint boots and they said they were all good. So I totally blame them.
