I agree with you that actual driver skill can trump the don't text/drink/etc and drive motto, though 99% of people (my own statistic) are terrible at it, so promoting the idea is usually frowned upon by the masses.

Completely agree. These are located a few minutes from me in a car museum. They are actually owned by a collector but he stores them there (unfortunate as they should be driven). Nice to be able to visit both regularly.
