Stop thinking about this from his point of view and think about it from the point of view of his employers. If you ran a gaming team or streaming platform and something like this happened, you'd be a total idiot to not sever ties ASAP. What would either entity gain from keeping him on?
Looking forward to the GV70
Looks like a Kia Optima
4 doors, 2 seats, cheesy aero tack ons, auto transmission, pointless center lock wheels... this is one of the stupidest cars I’ve seen in some time
Hybrids and PHEVs are a more efficient use of the currently limited battery manufacturing capacity in the fight against climate change. HEVs/PHEVs could just use bigger BEV style batteries for their higher amp per kWh demands and still reduce way more emissions per kWh. Sure BEVs will get better as the good greens...…
These are the kinds of things said by people who have either only driven bad manuals, only driven bad manuals and automatics, or no cars at all.
Very good post lmao.
Both Toyota and Honda have Li-ion hybrids
These vehicles are cursed by what they represent: poor taste and the flaunting of wealth. I think people have to really separate the cars from their buyers here.
Neutral: Between the two I am partial to the CR-V, but what I’m really hoping for is a hybrid RDX with some balls. Also waiting to see what’s up with the Corsair PHEV though I get the feeling that’s gonna be $$$$$$$$$$$
3rd- note that the issue is a supply bottleneck- i.e. more production capacity won’t solve the problem. You can’t build stuff without materials
You already pay in the US though. There are gas guzzler taxes at purchase, gas taxes over time, and of course the very cost of fuel itself.
I like your last paragraph and pretty much agree. I think the govt is good at making mandates, but there is no need for the govt to dictate how said mandates are achieved. Does it really matter if we cut emissions via EVs or hybrids? At the end of the day all that matters is that the emissions get cut. People are…
I’m not sure what your point is. Seems like you are using environmentalism as a cover to mandate that everyone adhere to your preference for smaller vehicles. Why stop at a fuel tax? Just give a short list of cars we should be allowed to drive if you had your way.
I am not the one who has made it either or; the EVs or nothing people do.
Why are you on a website about cars then? The question is rhetorical, our exchange ends here.
So banning glider trucks, pushing high speed rail over flying, and hell, just making ICEVs more efficient with electrification aren’t legit?
Laws aren’t made in a vacuum. Nobody would push for such a law because Americans wouldn’t stand for it. It would be political suicide.
Each kWh cost $200 so to get to the 15 or so in a plug in will cost a good bit more than that. But def nowhere near the cost of a full battery pack, bigger motor etc
