Prove it, because I have links that say otherwise

Can’t regulate demand

Remember kids

To be fair we have to put everything in context. I'm sure that's more than offset by the emissions they save

I’ll have to look into it but from what I remember it would only be PHEVs at best.

So you’re telling me the only way to fight climate change is through EVs?

Desirable EVs from regular manufacturers would be too expensive. The tech just isn’t ready. I would love something like my TLX in EV form. But not for 1.5-2x the price.

Tesla Tesla Tesla

Those 2030 ICEV bans look dumber by the day.

This doesn’t make much sense

Corvette that isn’t roomy enough for boomers? They really gave them the finger with this one. Hope this gamble pays off because it’s a big one. I would have thought that huge flat ass would have yielded an accommodating interior. Strange

BMW should just make all its ICEVs hybrids. They’ll get a 30-40% emissions cut on every ICEV they make; their customers will keep buying the cars; they’ll make much better real world use of battery supply etc. More EVs nobody wants to buy is not the answer.

I don’t understand why they gave the 3 that egghead greenhouse when they knew this was coming. It has like 2-4" more headroom than its competitors. Why? Chop the roof Tesla.

Article should be titled “Some Motorcycles Have Way Too Much Power”

I feel like German PHEVs do the trick. I guess it depends on what you call satisfying.

The Dakota will face the same problem as the Ranger. 3/4 the truck for 31/32nd the price. With none of the resale/rebate support of the full sizer.

You’d be looking at damn near the price of a car. EV batteries are like $150/kWh... multiply that out to 60kWh and you’re at $9K alone. Then you have to add the cost of the motor, electronics and installation. So you’d be like $15K into a car probably worth $10K max. It’s just not worth it

Long loan lengths are less than ideal, but people are keeping cars for way longer, so to a degree it doesn’t matter. The average length of time people keep brand new cars is nearly 7 years, so even a 6 year loan is not outrageous assuming the buyer keeps the car for the average time.

We can only achieve these emissions goals if people are buying EVs in huge numbers.

The number of moving parts are only one part of it. I have way more faith in the average 10 year old engine + transmission than a 10 year old battery. 10 year old Nissan Leafs are basically finito.
