There is a 1st gen on the side of the highway on my commute. My mom had an AWD one and the transmission died while I was in a not stop safe part of Brooklyn. Common problem covered under warranty
They are running out of things to write
A human cannot run a 4 minute mile easily
Why on Google Fucking Earth do you need to go 24MPH on a scooter? They should limit these things to 7-8MPH max or ban them from the sidewalks. An off at 24MPH is a broken bone no problem.
Great design. They should have turned the buttons towards the passenger or face down to make picking the right one even easier!
1st gear- catch up in what exactly? Burning cash? Cringe and SEC inducing tweets? Fanatic fanboys? Tesla would love to have BMW’s “problems”. What is their board smoking?
Money making assets depreciate too. They’ve even factored it into the tax code.
Electric motors have no problem making power at any rpm but efficiency varies a lot. More ratios could really extend range.
Do you leave your car unlocked and running with your phone and wallet inside on a regular basis?
Neutral: a profitable one with real, incentive free demand
The Corvette chassis has always been bespoke in the GM universe. I don't see why putting the engine behind the passenger compartment would cost more. The C7 was a ground up design and started at 50k or so. This shouldn't be much more
I agree. The Corvette brand isn’t completely destroyed like Cadillac, but it can’t compete 1 to 1 on price with actual exotics. That value play had been elemental to its success. If GM tries to price this like a 911 Carrera it will be yet another huge failure within this decade.
They need to make the 7th gen a rehash of the 3rd gen. That’s the one my generation loves (or at least remembers)
I hate that it’s a choice between this awesome but massive school bus, or the right size but comparatively poverty spec Santa Fe. I'd pay this much for something this nice and maybe 10" shorter with no 3rd row. I guess we'll see what Kia does with the Sorento.
4th gear- sometimes i feel like BMW is actively trying to turn me off
We have to look at things in a full context. Audi/BMW/MB sell about 6-8x what Tesla do worldwide. And while their sedan sales are down, their crossover sales, which are the vehicles people are actually buying these days, are on fire (whereas the Model X is not).
They go low, you go homicidal. Way to legitimize Trump and his supporters.
What exactly is Tesla kicking the German’s asses at, besides being a cash furnace? Germans outsell Tesla by an order of magnitude in the US alone, and actually turn a profit doing so.
“Drive free or die- as long as you abide by our ridiculous, whimsical, ever changing automotive orthodoxy”
I can explain why manufacturers are hestiant to make BEVs. NOBODY WANTS TO BUY THEM!!!
