It’s not your money. You pay a price for goods and services - when the provider is the government, we call that taxes. Once you’ve paid for something - whether it’s for a cup of coffee, a tank of gas, rent, mortgage, or taxes - that money ceases to be yours, and you cease to have a voice in how it’s spent.
