Now this is the response I was waiting for. Calmly explaining the difference, without getting into a fit.

No one has responded to it because they realize just how many situations exist in their own lives which counter the shared outrage seen in a lot of topics here. It is easy to criticize something until you see it in your own life.
Oh give me a break, nobody said a moral vacuum or that we should make no attempt to influence it.
Where am I retreating or denying anything?
The onus is on harassers to stop harassing people. It is unfortunate that men harass women more (which they certainly do, I don't deny that), but I am not going to treat women differently because of it.
You are taking what I am saying to an unnecessary extreme.
You are arguing against a straw-man.
Of course it is different, I am not claiming we live in a perfectly equal society. But how are we ever supposed to evolve this society if the constant message is "FEAR THAT YOU ARE HARASSING SOMEONE"?
Here's a novel idea, most people DO just leave it, just like I do. I don't go running to complain that they didn't respond to me, but I DO think they would have been a cooler and nicer person if they did respond, and when people say "hello" to me, I smile and say "Hi" right back.
I forgot I was a naive and privileged white man, how silly of me, surely my brain cannot function properly enough to figure out logic or rationality.
Ah right, I forgot that saying hello is automatically flirting, and that flirting is the worst thing EVAR.
Hey, I probably only have white male bro friends right? I'll have to tell all my friends they don't exist and their opinions couldn't possibly be real. Yawn.
Thank you for making my point.
Did you seriously just compare surveillance cameras and kids with remote control toys to child rape?
Where am I forcing my worldview on anyone? I simply was surprised so many people wouldn't say hello back, because I was raised to respond to someone when they speak to me. This is not a stranger trying to give you candy as a child.
Hello, it's so nice to meet someone who knows my life and friends well enough to tell me what they say and believe.
These are the best ads ever. I forget what the name of the cheese is, but that panda is fucking hilarious.
Yelp has more content, especially world-wide. Foursquare has better quality UI and value to check-ins.
Because it lets you know when your friends are nearby, because you get money off on purchases, because you get a cool map of your travelling patterns and behavior. I could go on.
This used to be true, but recently Foursquare tips and other info have gotten a lot better.
