The same Curt Schilling that hates the government unless it is subsidizing his business failures?

I think that joke is still going to get mileage at deadspin five years from now.

I'm just going to avoid all national media until the game tomorrow. This is going to get run into the ground and nothing's going to change anyway.

I couldn't believe they even pitched to Jay. Should have walked him and faced Kozma.

He creates his own basepath where his slide ends.

How do you stand up like that? It sounds hard.

Why would he embellish a trip? If he doesn't get tripped at all he scored easily.

We should all be grateful for Oden. If Durant had gone to the Blazers surely his career would have been ruined by now instead.

I fully expect this joke to still be getting mileage around here five years from now.

Male Jets fan is redundant.

Give the guy a break. It's been hard enough trying to be a Red Sox fan starting in 2004. Now he's supposed to follow other teams and players too?

Dead center camera view should be mandatory for all stadiums and broadcasts. It's so much better than that offset bullshit.

Not saying that at all. I'm saying it is practically impossible for a taller player to completely avoid any helmet contact, and it appears the refs somehow expect them to with the way they are making these targeting calls.

If you are a lot taller it's almost impossible to play at speed and hit that person entirely below their shoulder pads without having to dive at their knees. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that hit that was flagged. Facemasks clashing is unavoidable without significantly changing the game. I've been watching

What exactly does Gawker care about, if not page views?

Is it a penalty to be a lot taller than your opponent now? I'm not sure what exactly he's supposed to do different, unless you really think everyone diving at knees all the time is really safer.

Deadspin was leading the cheers for Puig all year so it's probably in their best interest not to acknowledge his game last night.

The media didn't really get anything right. They just did a whole lot of backtracking after it was clear the Dodgers were getting curb checked and Puig was going to choke. Pedro Martinez was about the only guy with positive things to say about the Cards throughout. It took until the Dodgers were completely demoralized

It's not that hard to figure out. All of these troll articles bring Cardinals fans out of the woodwork. Page views mean more money for the writers. Most of these guys can't write worth a shit anyway, so they might as well do whatever gets them paid the most.

Just a couple Cardinals fans killing time until the coronation.
