If you don’t like that limited edition strawberry shortcake flavor ice cream, don’t buy it. Doesn’t mean said ice cream company shouldn’t make it.

How is the viper ACR a one-off? It is classified as a production car.

You know the ACR has 13 lap records around various tracks right? In fact, around Laguna Secs, the ACR is faster than a 918 by 1.2 seconds.

Ahem.

It varies by jurisdiction although in a majority it is illegal.

This is my point. It isn’t worth commiting a bigger crime because of someone’s parking violation.

This would also be acceptable in my book but then what if you don’t have something that can tow? If you have a truck why not just go over the curb then.

So you would *willingly commit a crime* to get to work on time? Where can I get a job that provides me the same fulfillment?

OK but then you are also accountable to a crime that you committed that you will have to pay for. If the cops showed up in the above situation I have a hard time seeing how they would let you off.

And we register on-site? Or on the Lonestar rallycross website?

Please check for yourself. It very much depends on the jurisdiction you live in.

Exactly. Since we don’t know absolutely the legality of the parking, but we do know that the property damage is illegal, I was trying to draw attention to the fact that it went to far. Due to the ‘idiosyncracies’ of Kinja I can’t edit my original comment any more.

It depends on the jurisdiction. I wish I could edit my original comment but Kinja is Kinja.

If I could edit my comment I would definitely change it to say depending on jurisdiction since it absolutely varies. In a majority of jurisdictions in the US it is illegal but we don’t know in this situation which is why I left it vague.

Still am getting slammed today, although it’s mainly people repeating “it is illegal to block a driveway” and it’s to late for me to edit my original comment to state “depending on jurisdiction”.

Please read some of the other comments, it depends on your jurisdiction. I can’t edit my comment now and this seems to be all people care about.

Please read some of the other comments it depends on jurisdiction. It’s just too late for me to edit my original comment now.

Legality depends on the jurisdiction. Either way it doesn’t justify vandalism and pushing the car into a ditch.

If not a tow service call your local PD and have them impound the car. If it really was a late night high school party as OP states there’s a good chance there’s some underage drinking as well and as someone who’s been caught once before and had friends caught multiple times, cops don’t like underage drinking at all.

Legality of the parking depends on which jurisdiction you are in. Breaking the window on someone else’s car would be vandalism at least which is illegal.
