How about most iconic turbocharged engine.

Forced Induction? Yes. Turbo? No.

1962 Oldsmobile Cutlass Turbo Jetfire does not agree for some reason

Bus, Diesel, Sideways Fast, Reliable (troll-face-grin), troll proof, not that wide (?), plain (if painted), and insulated (by engine heat and smoke).

As much as I find this is great answer, I must say... NEEDS MORE MID-ENGINE!!

actually... yes

I am thinking... that you don't know that's a re-badged car that's still being made?

Lancia Delta S4 or Nissan March Superturbo

Somehow, I think we may see him sometime soon...

You need Jesus.

Just read on Gawker:

+1 for my lancia 037 wheels vote?

Lancia 037 Wheels.

That rear suspension is jizz worthy. Different, I like, and I'm very interested in finding out how that works.

Knockthemdownlopnik?

sigh... I wish I was born in the days when professional racing was so outlandishly creative...

LOL, don't worry, I like a Lancia 037 WAY MORE than a stratos or a delta S4 (the 037 is least iconic out of all three despite it being the last RWD car to win in WRC); we all have our cars which we're drawn to off of absolute nonsense; its imperfections that make us perfect in this world of jalopy I guess
