Well, sub-2700lbs isn’t exactly a porker in this day and age, but it sure is for the size of the car. Hell - a Del Sol could get as hefty as 2500lbs, and it didn’t have any of the technological wizardry, nor did it have nearly the safety factor of the CR-Z, which is actually top of the charts. A far fucking cry from

Because the CR-Z looks AWESOME

People’s idea of a ‘small car’ is getting increasingly skewed, as all of these once-small models grow larger and larger. I really gained perspective on this when I realized that my 2018 STI was as large as my wife’s Mercedes C450.

Yes indeed, and that applies to the bad case of lice I caught on an Air France flight to Paris. I had boarded in Rome just after it had arrived from JFK, laden, presumably, with lice filled American tourists.

Great. Jesse will have to overnight parts from Japan and Germany now.

That’s fine tiger, just move over once you’re done.

Because everyone follows the laws in a country that started as a prison island.

Also cuts both ways. BMW has maintained (or gained) much of its snob factor in recent years, at the expense of many brand loyalists. When reliability is way down, maintenance costs are through the roof, manuals are rarer to come by, and they focus on stupid coupe-fied SUVs and crossovers they’re slowly but surely

In some countries auto insurers won’t even payout if the vehicle’s parking brake is not set.

What’s a bonus? At my job it’s pronounced bone us.

BMW’s straight sixes from around 2007 are quite unreliable. Not sure about newer straight sixes from them. But I do know that they depreciate in value extremely quickly. Toyotas on the other hand are very reliable and hold their value well. I hope the Supra doesn’t fall short in these aspects...

Shhhhh! Shut up, shut up, shut uuuup!

Shhhhhhhhh I haven’t bought one yet.

I couldn’t disagree more and Im what you would label a “true”enthusiast. For the past seven years I have daily driven a 2007 6spd manual Corvette with the Z51 handling package on the pothole streets of DC. I have 96,000 miles on my C6 Vette and CANNOT WAIT to trade it for something incredibly practical like a CR-V or

Let’s also remember it was the engine, in the car, that launched Because Racecar.

Get out of the cities and some of the driving is lovely:

That’s TERRIBLE! What kind of backward country would destroy perfectly good cars just because they weren’t imported “correctly”.

Yeah well the cars aren’t even close to ‘priceless’. Who is going to bother going to Philippines to export a SL55 AMG unless it is really cheap? And if it is really cheap, why bother? Just crush them.

False.

Translation: “The kids who want these cars can’t afford them, so we can’t justify development costs of adding another option. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go work on the automatic for the new Supra.”
