Would love to hear from the author or someone with knowledge of the situation about where I can donate to help defray their expenses. There’s not much else I can do, living so far away and not being a lawyer, but, dammit, these people should get their children back!
Or, maybe instead of deporting the parents, we keep the families together while they await their asylum hearing? That way we can spare all involved the trauma of separation.
I am not sure that I fully understand any legal argument for detaining the children while deporting the parents. Does anyone have any more insight into how the administration legally justifies this? It looks like kidnapping on an international scale.
Having access to potable drinking water shouldn’t be a ‘states’ issue, it should be a human rights issue.
How about instead of trying to make America great again, we try to make America decent for once? How the hell do people not have running water in Dallas County?
“The regular process” means what’s technically legal and President Trump’s order was just that — an order, not “pressure.” So, you see, everything’s fine! Very normal, very regular.
Basically, he is saying that is their story and they are sticking to it.
“In 2018, White House and security clearance officials affirmed that Mr. Kushner’s security clearance was handled in the regular process with no pressure from anyone. That was conveyed to the media at the time, and new stories, if accurate, do not change what was affirmed at the time,” Lowell’s spokesman Peter…
I was shocked to find out the President can overrule decisions by the National Security services about who can get a security clearance. It seems that this is yet another thing that is going to have to be legislated about, since once that barn door has been opened, we have no guarantee that it will ever be closed…
Remember when Kushner took info from the President’s daily brief about Saudis that weren’t so hot on MBS to his sleepover with MBS then a bunch of people got tortured and rolled for their fortunes? Good times.
Honestly, given linear time as a concept, this is worse.
His war stories of his heroism in Vietnam were a total fraud - he was never even there.
My guess is that he stopped at the first line and thought the other guy was gloating at Cohen’s misfortune.
Also she managed to make it relate directly to her district (no surprise given her district) but still it lays to waste any criticism that she’s too busy being a bamf on these big picture things to be focusing on her district. More people should really use her as an example of how to do just that.
She was quick, poised and an example to all.
Oh god, with lies about everything. Like no, Karen, you can’t actually “never buy avocados again” by sprouting that avocado pit. It’ll take like twenty years to even get a decent tree and will probably never fruit.
“Yeah, clearly germs are a hoax made up by the liberal media.”
There’s no bottom to this particular barrel.
Goddamn this country has a lot of racist cruel bastards.
