This seems especially timely as West Oakland is rapidly gentrified. A lot of history in that neighborhood is being transformed into condos. I’m looking forward to seeing the results of this reasearch group.

That stuck out to met too as a particularly damaging aspect of these “pranks”. Learning to live with step-sibs is hard enough without watching some of your siblings be abused while others are spared.

I am affiliated with one of the schools on this list and have been thinking a lot about how to deal with the rise of white supremacy ideology/speech on campus. I’ll be forwarding this to our dean in charge of diversity and keeping an eye out for this group and their shitty propaganda. Thanks for this.

I was in that neighborhood for the first time in 20 years recently and was stunned at the change. If the buildings hadn’t been the same I would have thought I was just confused and mixed up that neighborhood with another one.

That makes perfect sense to me. I cleaned houses to pay for college and I was the bathroom person on my team. So many freaking bathrooms. When my boyfriend and I moved in together I told him that I would clean anything in the house/yard but the bathroom.

In that case, you might like The Hilarious World of Depression. It’s a podcast that interviews comedians who have wrestled with depression (or as they call it on the show “Clinny D”. It manages to be honest, funny, sad and moving all at the same time.

The fact that the current Commander in Chief compared avoiding STDs to fighting a fucking war that he got out of on faked medical documents is nauseating.

Last I heard, SF is still on for the 26th. Permitting there is complicated because they’re meeting at Chrissy Field, so permits are regulated by the Dept. of the Interior, not the city. I know Pelosi has asked the permit to be revoked after the events of last weekend.
