I couldn’t have said it better. I read the original article last week and it rang so true, I thought I heard bells.

I grew up in the 70's and 80's and motherfucking Red Dawn... Russians were the enemy. They had all the nukes and they had the only military force capable of giving us a fight if we could somehow keep fingers from the big red button...
I had poor Italian immigrants on one side and poor white rednecks on the other. All of those women worked outside the home.
(I love the irony that all those “perfect 50s housewives” were portrayed, by definition, by hard working women!)
So true. I regret I can only give you one star!
and the centrists (who seem to be returning from their caves and adjusting their eyes to the light of day).
My mutha fucking rep is on this list. I called them yesterday to find out how he was voting. His office says he hadn’t said. I told them that as a constituent I am watching him on this vote because it will legitimately harm people in my family and other families here.
After Christmas, I went to pick up my car from the body shop. As I was waiting, I asked my service rep (early 40s white dude) how was his holiday. He said horrible. He proceeded to tell me that he found out his grandfather molested his aunt (his grandfather’s stepdaughter) and his other aunt (the grandfather’s bio…
I know people who graduated from there, and while I like them as people, I can confirm that they are bizarrely obsessed with their class rings.
If Michelle and the girls had stayed in Chicago and needed round-the-clock, taxpayer-funded security, people would have demanded their heads.
these people are running the numbers and trying to figure out how to end their lives in a way that does not traumatize their loved ones, get anyone arrested for helping them because they’re too disabled to do it themselves, or disqualify their families from receiving their life insurance payout.

Im on the east side of Houston which is basically a slice of Central America so I have plenty of options for authentic tacos but sometimes I just want an Americanized fast food mutant taco thing.
Because apparently a lot of their peers thought it was the same hole too!
I’m American, and don’t know the ins-and-outs of the monarchy, and I was in middle school, maybe, when they divorced. So I could be making it up.
These values really aren’t that important to them, after all.
Same here. I have two sons, one 19 and the other 16. I worry every single time they get in their cars and go to work and school. I mourn for this family.
Write an essay/paragraph from the perspective of an escaped slave, a slave separated from their family, or an Abolitionist trying to convince people that slavery is wrong (that one’s for the sensitive kids especially the black sensitive kids— they shouldn’t have to imagine themselves in that situation if they don’t…
As a person of color, I grew up dealing with issues of race, but I always remained hopeful, and believed that this country was on a forward-thinking path. With this election, it was like getting the wind knocked out of you; it was like getting sucked into a vacuum; it was like a stunt or special effect in a movie,…
13,000 Iowans died fighting the confederacy and one of their congressmen has the gall to display its flag on his deck? How the fuck are his constituents okay with that?
