I bet VW loves that, I initially thought the system had a glitch.

I wonder if this was McKenna Porsche as I was 911 shopping with my female friend 3 weeks ago and we both felt they weren’t taking us very seriously. She’s in her mid 30's and can easily afford a 911, or a few. Literally stood waiting for someone at the concierge desk (which there was no one sitting at) for a handful

Now that’s interesting, because the 405 starts in Irvine (OC) and ends in the north part of the Valley in LA...so certainly outside of SD.

As a 31 year old Millenial I say thank goodness, the culture of the bikes along with the terrible/loud sound can be thrown to the curb.

I am 31 and have owned something like 10 BMW’s (all were used, one was a 2015 M3 lease), but I don’t foresee myself buying any new ones in the future...they are frankly boring to drive. I had my lease taken over half way through it, now I am back in a 997. The mid 80's to early 2000's were the era of BMW’s that spoke

You can drive a vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight up to 25,999 lbs. in the US with a normal driver’s license. GVW means weight of the vehicle and maximum cargo. Those trucks weigh about 12k lbs. so that mean they can carry another 14k lbs for instance for a total of 26k lbs. It’s frankly scary knowing the average

Family owned a Budget car rental franchise awhile back, we owned the cars but rented the trucks for corporate and I can say with confidence a lot of people should not be driving those 24 ft. moving trucks. That’s why even the optional loss damage waiver doesn’t cover the top of the box, because so many people would

It’s pretty obvious that American cars are crushing it right now, I rode in the ZL1 around Willow Springs recently with a terrible driver but that car still had an insane amount of grip. It felt strong, not as fast as I thought it would feel, but it’s so competent the power doesn’t feel scary.

And the truck rental companies are still buying plenty of E-350/E-450 cutaways (Budget, U-haul, Penske, etc.). Supposedly by 2020 Ford will be phasing out the ancient platform, not sure if a more robust Transit chassis is coming to replace it.

Was there, and was better than I thought it would be. Ran into some of the popular players in the car world and was mentally exhausted by the time I was done as it had so many amazing cars!

I do like that cable throttle in the E36 vs the electric E46 throttle, which the latter has always had too light of a gas pedal from my perspective. But that E46 body and interior just simply entice me more so, and the S54 is a screamer...the top end of the stock S52 is pretty h0-hum to wind out, the S50 is actually

While I’ve owned the E36 M3 sedan, E46 M3, F80 M3, and have spent a lot of seat time in the E30 M3, I have only drive the E90 M3 once and it was rather limited. The engine seems awesome, I just have little experience...the exterior/interior of the E90 underwhelms me relative to other generations too.

The E90 is a nice chassis, going to the thrust arm design versus the single control arm in the front suspension really made a huge impact in ride quality and braking over rough pieces of road prior to earlier generations. I actually had a 135i 6-spd (same underneath as the E90 effectively) and it was a great DD. Plus

That’s a tough one, because they all have pros/cons but some leave you lusting to drive from an emotional level far more than others.

I was at this dealership recently and they had tons of crazy colors, even a Dakar 7-series. They have a hefty dealer markup on all these special colors, the sales guy told me a lot of them are actually bought from across the country not necessarily in just LA.

Not sure what Ebay has to do with my reply regarding the virtue of being able to sell effectively in life but with that being said, Ebay accounts for quite a small amount of new car sales as a total.

Likewise, what do you sell/provide?

Commented on a reply above with this story, I swear that’s more of an American thing than anywhere else. Most cultures take pride in looking respectful.

I agree there is a bit of a complex there (this more of an American thing, where we expect to be treated like kings even if we look like a peasant). But with that being said, kudos to the sales woman who was hungry...she probably has worked her way up or to another industry by now.

I don’t work in car sales but with a line like that I presume you never intend to be a business owner/entrepreneur. To be able to sell at a high level is one of the best abilities one can learn, if you run your own business you will have to sell people to be your customer and train your own potential sales people, let
