For Gene Roddenberry’s sake, did you even read the article!? Because it clearly says “[Updated]”, which could mean that the information present now was not the information originally present... And guess what information was missing!

At the time i wrote my comment, the article only said he’d been pinned by his car and died, so instead of assuming we’d all skimmed the article, assume that the article’s “[Updated]” label in the title means that those of us who came first, did not have all the information that the article contains now.

I’m sorry to tell you this, but all predators live and die based on how well they can do this, so this example isn’t remarkable. It’s also fairly normal in herbivores and very widespread among omnivores, but it’s not a universal trait in either group.
