I'm use pseudo-pessimism. Basically i imagine the worst case scenarios and then work to eliminate as many factors leading to it as i can and prepare myself for failing to avert that future.

But the question is if an old Greek court would be that complex. After all, it predates Roman courts and they would probably just force the student to pay what he owed, not matter if he practiced law or not with his education.

Minimalism is the starting point of any good art. So if you cannot convey you idea or message through a minimalistic version of what's been commissioned, adding all the effects, details, fancy graphic or scantly clad ladies/gents in the world wont convey it better.

We need more of this kinda fiction, as we (as a species) need to come to a understanding that as a whole, we can be monsters in the eyes of others. Even when we have the best intentions or truly feel we're defending ourselves, we can be monsters.
