Somebody here at the track said it hopped a rumble strip and hopped about a foot off the ground. Wonder if it was on throttle and free revved in the air before it hit the ground and loaded the trans up when it touched back down.

That car is absolutely gorgeous in person.

Myself and two other guys will be there for three days. We will be on the Budweiser party porch Saturday at sunset for pics of sunset and glowing brake rotors at the bus stop. Oh yeah...and beer. Where can we share pics on here? We'll have 3 cameras between us. If we see fluffy bunny we'll say hi.

He hit the fence right where I was sitting for the first 20 laps of the race last year. Note to self. Watch race from infield this year.

It was modified by Shelby...Boss 429 was modified by Kar Kraft. Is either one really a Mustang? I say yes, but no Mustang is that great right out of the box they all need a little tweaking. My new 2015 is by far better than both of those but does it have the cool factor??? Hell NO. I'll take the lightweight high

Maybe you are too......

Pull the restrictor plates, put em on a 9" wide tire and let em have at it. If you have the balls to hold it at 220 on a 9" tire at Talladega...good luck. They wont do that though, that might bring some type of innovation to the cars and put fans back in the stands.

He was 24yo at the time he designed it...amazing. He is one of the nicest people ever and will sit and talk to anybody that will listen about these cars. Met him at Rd ATL 4 years ago. Truly a great ambassador for motorsports.

The ass end is one reason the original did 196mph down Mulsanne on its first test in 1964. Believe it was Phil Hill doing the driving. The first test body had no spoiler. After the ass end came off the ground at 185mph he brought it in the pits and they fabbed up a spoiler for it for some downforce. No matter how ugly

I stand corrected.

If in doubt...go flat out. RIP Colin McRae.

I live just north of Chattanooga so its a long trip up there but sure.

I personally know a guy trying to sell an alcohol Briggs flathead kart and a gas Animal OHV kart ready to race for $1000.

You should try it on a prepped red clay oval like we have here in TN. Its awesome. Very affordable racing too with the current engine setup of the Honda clones. I bought a race winner setup right off the track with a bunch of spare sprockets and tires for $2200. We run full body oval karts so rubbing is definitely

Thats awesome. Last NASA event I competed in was Sand Hills years ago and it was a very well run event with lots of competitors. Just wish they would bring rally TN back to Ocoee. Its 30min from my house.

When we used to run Cherokee Trails rally here in TN as an SCCA Pro Rally we had SPEEDVISION show up to record and would fill the forest with spectators. They would close off downtown Chattanooga for Park Expose and ceremonial start. It was my first rally as a spectator. Very good marketing for the sport. We had 60

Its dying because there isnt any drama, door to door racing, fighting, or Fords vs Chevy. Americans can't keep up with it because they arent driving in circles and can't understand why they needs codrivers etc etc. I used to have to answer all these questions when I was a codriver in SCCA and NASA rallies.

Finally!!!

My thoughts exactly.

This car looks amazing in person. Got to see it at Carmel this year.
