As I've said, my problem with the movie is not the ending. Superman has killed Zod in the comics before. My problem was the Pa Kent Tornado scene. That was just stupid.
I did like the little we saw in the crossover between B:TAS and S:TAS.

It’s true. Clancy Brown owned the voice of Lex Luthor just as much as Mark Hamill owned Joker.
He is the perfect Lex, but I'm willing to give others a chance. Just glad it isn't Mark Rolston again. He's ok, but he's better as Deathstroke. And even then, Ron Pearlman is the best.
After the mess of series 8 the show really rebounded this year, and I think the two-parter were a big part of it. By my god that eye booger episode was a clunker.

Well said. it ruins the emotional punch of the end. You really feel the life sucked out of you and the enormity of their challenge. It sets up their plan in ROTJ so well. I never considered this but you convinced me.
