I really can't tell if you're being argumentative, supportive or somewhere in between, since we've both just made the same point more or less that it's personal preference rather than a better/worse issue, so I'm gonna have to respond with 'No, U', 'Damn right' and 'That's just like, your opinion, man' respectively.
However subtle the shift to a gamepad-style controller might seem, it made playing Diablo III a much more casual experience for me. And by doing that so well, it also made me realize that "casual" doesn't need to be such a bad thing.
