Ok so now you are talking about pre-launch requirements gathering, system design and involving the third parties in THAT discussion. Yes Sony did that with PS4 and Nintendo doesn’t really do that at all. What you SAID was “They should be buying up studios, making deals, and approaching the developer’s around different

Hey man, I love a great online discussion like this. But I’m going to direct quote you because you are talking past me. So i’m not using the quotes to be passive aggressive i’m just trying to wrap my head around what you are saying and be unambiguous.

Thanks again for the replies. I think one of our points of disagreement is around new IP. I may be putting words in your mouth but in your opinion existing IP is formulaic and new IP is not? For me, the IP is irrelevant to the gameplay. Tomb Raider is essentially Uncharted. First person shooter in urban environment is

I watched the Dan Pink one per your suggestion. Very similar idea to cognitive surplus TED talk... how much do people do things because they want to vs because they are told to. If you are curious I’ll link you to the exact spot in the TED talk:

Sorry i can’t let this go but seriously the formulaic thing you said... if that is really want people want, and your examples are “ Rocket League, Horizon:Zero dawn, TLG, Bloodborne, The order.”

Hey man, great replies! I see where you were going with the documentation and game engines now. The angle I was taking for my comment is that it doesn’t matter how difficult or easy the game development was when it comes to sales. People SHOULD buy a game based on whether its good or not, rather than the experience

You said i was “incorrect on several points”, and I was asking you what those points were. You are entitled to your opinion. As I said they are very pretty games and make you feel cool/excited with scripted environmental destruction. I also said that its linear and especially in the climbing sections there is only 1

I don’t disagree with you about the sales. But you conclude saying “If Nintendo changes the way they are open to developers and make a system that has great documentation for outside Japan development, then their library will change for the better.”

I’ll have that argument. Pray tell, which points am I wrong on?

Yeah i just played the rebooted Tomb Raider from the PS3 gen and I like it more than Uncharted... at least at the start. By the end of the game is turned into Uncharted but in the beginning I liked having the flexibility to explore areas, hunt, sneak, etc

Have you not played the game? You are given a body count at the end and headshot ratios etc. How is that like super mario? How am I the one being silly? Is this real life?

I’m going to go out on a limb here, but I don’t think the uncharted games are that good. Its very pretty to look at and makes you feel cool with scripted environmental destruction. But in terms of gameplay i think its a mediocre cover shooter and the puzzles are childish and far between. Even the platforming has just

Again i really appreciate your reply. I don’t disagree with what you are saying about Indie’s but its a tangent point to Nintendo being soley at fault for the Wii U’s situation (specifically it seems the lack of third party support since we can objectively say that their 1st and 2nd party efforts are very good).

Thanks for the reply. I don’t dispute that Sony does an amazing job with third parties and that Nintendo does a piss poor job. But third party support is not as important as it once was. With microsoft and sony being somewhat comparable the differences are their 1st and 2nd party efforts. And sales reflect that, on

You are turing your nose up at Splatoon which one best shooter of 2015. Better than Halo 5, COD Ghost 3, Star Wars Battlefront, and Destiny DLC. Have you played Bayonetta 2 runner up GOTY 2014? How about any of these http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthre…

Couldn’t disagree more about “A missed opportunity from Nintendo, and one that is entirely all on them”

Hey Johnnie, I couldn’t agree more the Wii U has amazing, exclusive, original, great games. I laughed at the troll that replied to you!

For GF co op i highly highly highly recommend Rayman Legends. There are levels specifically designed for co op (they have a murphy frog next to them) with one person on the TV and other one on the touch screen. Its amazing and I think you can get it dirt cheap on amazon

Yeah as MarionN wrote, they spent a lot of time animating this action, create multiple moves for it, and even add the after slap butt jiggle. Its not like it slipped in and they were like “oh we didn’t intend for that” because they spent a lot of time making it. I think it’s dumb for anyone to care about this in the
