@MakeMeSmile: I wish I could tell you but I don't know if I can. I've already talked about specific things that I only know from reading the dictation of my rapist's first meeting with school administrators. I think those things were considered confidential (or at least I have that impression since no one but myself

At first glance, I thought Livia Firth was Lea Michele (Rachel from Glee).

@Winkeleh: If I were one of your future children, I would no doubt roll around in a fit of giggles like I just did.

Me: "Are the Lions the team wearing blue?"

Me: "I'll do my homework later."

@prusten: And all this time I've been saying Jesus Hernandez Christ.

@dangerslut: You'll be fine if you go abroad. A lot of horrible things happen to people that travel to the US too. There is nothing that happened to me on my time abroad that even comes close to the bad things that have happened to me within my own country.

@Ulookinatmyjunk, JOC: JUST gonna say that. Her legs just LOOK like that when there's absolutely no weight being put on them. The gym has been hit by baby many a time.

@all: Thank you. This is why I love Jezebel.

@smizmar: I know it wasn't a trial through law. It's just a mouthful to say "a judicial hearing of the school." Plus, as I was going through it, everyone around me called it a trial. Although we didn't have a "judiciary board" that you talk about. One faculty, staff member and student were chosen at random and

@smizmar: What state are you from? I'm not calling you out, I just want to see if my state does the same thing. Do you know where I could find this sort of thing out?

@RiloKilo: Yeah you can go to the police. I didn't want to though. There were a lot of reasons why, most of them extremely complicated.

@lizdexia: If a woman has sex with a man too intoxicated to consent and he feels violated, then yes, she has raped him.

@nobodyr: I would feel worse for the woman that wakes up knowing she was raped. It is a person's responsibility to know that in having sex with someone who is intoxicated, they could be assaulting her.

@lizdexia: " If her level of intoxication negates her ability to consent, how can his level of intoxication not negate his ability to form the intent to commit a crime?"

@Blueberry26: It makes me proud to the point of tears to read that you feel safe here.

@Superrrdupa: To be clear though: I have never for one minute regretted the decision to take his ass to trial. I will forever be proud of that.

I was raped the weekend before finals my sophomore year. My friends took me to the hospital after finding me sobbing into a towel by myself in the bathroom. I had a rape kit. My school was immediately notified.

@Scout: now THAT'S smizing.
