It may seem like it’s a mostly race thing but I don’t think it is, I think it’s a perception thing. Since 9/11 cops see the enemy everywhere... they stopped protecting the public and started suspecting the public.

Says the one with his/her head in the sand. Because cops would never ever falsify paperwork... oh wait, it’s been shown that some do! And, of course you forget what the rest of the article says just to suit your world view.... nobody is saying he shouldn’t be arrested if, in fact, he was told to leave. Nobody. But you…
Right, because all the instances of bad cops being bad cops is just a narrative in your mind. Seems to me it’s you and people like you embracing the “never question cops” narrative that helped get us into this mess in the first place.
Can the bad cops stop being cops please? Isn’t that the more pertinent question?
I would agree with you completely if it wasn't for one thing. Most of the time the cops close ranks and protect the bad cop. I think the emotions would be a lot less on the public side if they felt they could rely on the cops to give a clean accounting of things. At some point the cops need to realize that we as…
And the misogyny of the day award goes too.....
Also, your sad attempt at comparison is just as bad. Anyone holding a sign in a crowd for an athlete to marry them is not the same as this. A sign in a crowd is not in the athlete's face and probably doesn't even get seen. This was not that.
Right, what was she supposed to do in that situation, lose her shit while working? It IS pathetic, even for a joke. Basically this dude is saying "I don't see you as a professional doing her job". It. Is. Pathetic. And the dismissal of it as a joke is almost as pathetic.
For a site that finds the name offensive you sure use the name a lot. Either it’s offensive or it isn’t.... put your money where your mouth is and stop using the term. This dancing around the edges is bullshit.
Shouldn't you be with the rest of the extreme left right now? I heard you have some Dolce & Gabbana protests to plan or some other nonsense like that.....
It should also be noted that the chik-fil-a CEO issued a statement last year regretting the statements about being gay..... which, let's face it, had everything to do with shrinking profits.
Nevertheless it's better than nothing, not to mention those who are against gay marriage or just being gay are, more and more, a dwindling part of the population. Eventually it becomes a good strategy because of that.
What you said....
It is bigoted, just a less obvious form of it. How much you wanna bet the "burden of proof" to claim religious objection is simply "I'm a Christian and I don't like me no gays!".
I think the point is that we should have progressed enough to not have new laws made and any state that does attempt it should be called out for it. One thing at a time so to speak, work on the old laws once we don't need to spend so much energy preventing new bigoted laws.
And btw... if you really really believed that what the law says is right, why did you feel the need to use a burner account? Own your shit coward.
I was willing to go with what you were saying until "anything gays have ever faced". Now to me and any reasonable person reading your comment, you're just a disconnected ass.
I think it is exactly that. While botched call drama may not make the national news it is almost assuredly all over the local news affiliates. More local drama means more people hearing about the local team. Collectively it doesn't make a lot of sense but to each owner thinking about his team's exposure locally...…
How does Minnesota have Kobe? Harmon Killebrew, Rod Carew, Kirby Pucket, Frank Viola, Tony Oliva, Fran Tarkenton, Alan Page, Carl Eller, Chuck Foreman, Jim Marshall.... are none of these guy's jerseys available?
Wow buddy, you must be one of THOSE people who think there's no such thing as a bad cop. With that cops history it's a reasonable assumption.... not to mention the fact that the COP TRIED TO FLEE! What's that favorite line of cops again? Oh yeah... if you're not guilty, why'd you run?
