I get why you feel this way (and no game is for everyone), but Animal Crossing isn't really anything like real life. You don't really have "bills" so much as you just get to buy things. Your mortgage is never "due," you never have to make "payments," because you can just pay whenever you want, and really the only

Thanks everyone. It sounds interesting, and I think I'll try it out. I've enjoyed pretty much everything else I've played from Atlus, and considering I already own Fire Emblem, that $30 credit is a great deal. I like difficult games sometimes, as long as they aren't frustrating or cheap—but it sounds like, based on

Well, that's more or less the reason class actions exist—none of the individual claims are worth enough on their own to justify costs and fees. $60 is better than nothing, and in many cases the real purpose is to encourage lawyers to bring suits to act as private attorneys general—to encourage companies to follow the

I kind of like the idea of a little bit darker story (not that I'm into super-dark stories, but as much as I love Persona the high-school thing isn't always my favorite), but I'm not sure about being a bunch harder. "Hard" in turn-based RPGs tends to be hard to differentiate from "cheap," especially if there are

It sounds like you have a pretty healthy attitude on this, but I think the point is that there's no reason to try to hate someone because they aren't as "geeky" as someone else. While there are "fake geeks" so to speak, the term is a bit overused, and looking out for "fake geeks" is sort of a hostile thing. I think

So how does Shin Megami Tensei compare to Persona? I played Persona 3 and 4 and really enjoyed them, but I haven't played any other SMT games—are they all similar to Persona?

If trademark law was as simple as searching an IP database, you wouldn't need lawyers. A company with as much money as Microsoft not having lawyers at least look at the name to advise them of potential problems would be acting pretty stupidly. The lawyers advised them of the potential risk, and they went ahead with

I was actually thinking that too. I'm not a Naruto fan personally, but if you're going for the anime/cel-shaded look that I'm assuming they're going for, they should commit to it.

I actually think what pokemon needs is the opposite—not new mechanics, but a reboot. There are just too many things going on in Pokemon games now...I enjoyed Heart Gold, but I would enjoy Pokemon games a lot more if they got rid of some things—especially all of the hidden statistics like IVs and EVs and stuff. It's

Are you sure using a ROM is fair use? I haven't read any cases specifically addressing it, but I wouldn't be as sure as you are about it unless there is a case specifically addressing it.

They're real, although honestly I haven't seen them many times. They cut off access to streets when they're needed for certain reasons, like if cars aren't allowed on a certain street at certain times. But I think I've only seen them a couple times.

Is it sad that I'm thinking the same thing? :\

Maybe 1-800-555-xxxx is all sex hotlines?

I'd just like to add I appreciate all these transparency articles. It's nice to get a peek at the man behind the curtain every once in a while.

I guess I just feel like, if I can hide my facebook or google account (I think I used my google account? I don't remember honestly) behind "Sumada," there doesn't seem to really be that much difference with a burner account. Unless you can go through and see the account I have behind Sumada, it's all the same to me.

Of course, it is pretty far down there. I could see how your fingers would get tired! Especially considering how it just keeps loading more comments/stories the further down you go...

I've seen people saying this a few times, but what exactly is it that's bad about the burner accounts? Is there a way to tell who is a burner account and who isn't?

There are other goods reasons for them to care other than professional courtesy and public opinion though. If he's really upset about it, he might bring a lawsuit, and they'd probably want to work it out before getting lawyers involved.
