What happened to “I didn’t have the whole story, and people i considered friends were involved so I took their word and tried to defend the indefensible. I’m sorry.”

I love how she tacked on the “I do charity work in Haiti” as proof she’s a good person. Shitty people can do good things. Good people can do shitty things. However, helping other people doesn’t mean you get to victim blame women who have been assaulted and harassed. Especially when you make money by sexualizing them…
did she really just say “i was tired”?
I saw the interview on the red carpet and the smug, self satisfied smile she holds throughout her whole rant is as infuriating as her words. She was getting a kick out of it, she thought she was being charming, she was self assured and confident in her opinion. She’s not sorry and she doesn’t deserve any more…
The woman that I had giving me the award, Maria Bello, I mean, her major, major statement in life is about women.
I think her eagerness to backtrack isn’t because of the backlash from the little people but because super high-profile women like Goop and Angelina Jolie came out.
Her original comments were offensive and incredibly stupid - but what I found most off-putting was the creepy, unnatural, HUGE smile (and accompanying pause) that punctuated each sentence. You can tell she thought what she was saying was profound and thought-provoking.
OH MY GOD THIS BLEW MY MIND.
Oh, she knew alright. Note that the post I’m linking to is from 2015:
I am willing to bet that no one that reads this finds her show “cute.”
Well, the Justice League reshoots, but also the Buffy movie:
I know Kathy isn’t liked around these parts but I feel like this must be hurting her right now... she kinda got overly shit on with that whole Trump thing
Always remember, Kathy is the bad person in all of this.
There’s a difference between using that as an excuse and realizing you were in a bad place with drinking and drugs and doing fucked up shit you wouldn’t do sober, then getting sober and not doing those things anymore and apologizing. However its hard to tell the level of sincerity/remorse for an outsider and also hard…
I felt the Oprah thing was kind of exploitative, though. It’s one thing to see someone flailing and take them aside, ask them some difficult questions and offer to help, another to milk it for ratings which can’t really promote recovery.
That’s fair enough.
Honestly I have never heard the phrase “running over other people” before and google isn’t exactly giving me any help on it either.
She was in a car accident that disfigured her face. Most of the procedures were reconstructive.
I mean, she also suffered injuries to her face in a car accident and has given interviews explaining this in response to questions about her “plastic surgery”.
