So this is just Mother 3 all over again. You have to remember that Reggie has very little actual power, and his opinions don't really mean a damn thing when it comes to what Nintendo actually does.

Hang on...GameStop lists Lego Marvel Super Heroes for launch, but Amazon has it listed for November 30th. Which is right?
I agree with you regarding the failings of the MPAA...but I don't think it carries over very well to the ESRB. Whereas the MPAA will make weird little exceptions to the amount of objectionable content, the ESRB is usually much more cut-and-dry about it. You couldn't sneak even one F-bomb into a game under M as far as…
Actually, I find Sheldon funny because of how exaggerated his persona feels. My brother has Asperger's, and even he enjoys laughing at how much worse Sheldon is. We can connect to that kind of thing in a positive way.
It had been so long since I'd played the game, I bought the story that it was an example of terrible acting...painful in its own right since I KNOW James Arnold Taylor is in fact very talented. Then a friend directed me to a video of the laugh IN CONTEXT and its true meaning was self-evident. So I wonder how many…
You have a point...but it's worth noting that Capcom ran Mega Man into the ground (FIGURATIVELY, I do agree) not because the brand inherently lost value but because they lost the capacity to make good innovations in new entries. Inafune's departure had a lot to do with that, and now that he's making the UPDATED…
I've heard arguments on both sides of that one...and I think people believing the Rapture comes for all the faithful before the shit hits the fan CAN be argued reasonably, but is probably at least somewhat connected to the desire for a feeling of security. People can rationalize anything away if they simply insist…
Never heard of it. My mind always jumps to Wisdom Tree, but that's because I had some of their games growing up...and they're arguably the best-known Christian game company because their unlicensed work in the 90's got some attention from people like AVGN. Though they were never that great, I was still happy to see…
Most Christians who wish for the End Times fall into the camp which believes that God will call all His faithful home to Heaven before the really bad stuff comes. So in a way, it's kind of like asking to die to get out of this crappy world without actually having to off yourself. The combination of these beliefs is,…
You're definitely right, face-to-face makes a REAL difference. Just earlier today, I was having a heated debate with a friend on economics. I found myself starting to get really, REALLY angry...far more so than I know I would if this same conversation had played out in person (largely because we've tread and re-tread…
Viglav is right...most developers simply can't realistically make enough money on Kickstarter alone to make a really good game. A lot of them make the mistake of grossly underestimating the costs, while others either expect further investments later or make the mistake of expanding the game beyond original scope.…
I JUST finished playing Alundra yesterday...and that's the only place I'm familiar with the word "guilders" to refer to money. I had no idea that was a real currency!
Same here. It became a very rare yet uplifting moment when I gave the usual warning spiel and the parent was actually like "better go finding something else, kiddo." Too many people simply cannot be bothered to give a damn. :(
You can...there's a link to that article in this one. :P
Spoiler: The new Vita CLEARLY loses that battle.
Okay, granted...that's a lot of sequels. The important thing to note is that NONE of those games are anywhere NEAR as similar to each other as modern games often are. You've got a wide variety pictured there, and that's just harder to come by nowadays.
If the second quest was as meaningless as in Super Mario Bros., I would get your point. But the second quest in Legend of Zelda is a great way to extend the game meaningfully...certainly not a reason to get pissed off at it.
I'd be more excited if this was based on Legends, really. Take what we can get though, I suppose. Not that I care one way or the other until it hits the console threshold.
Boy, I hope he didn't actually damage that system to make this video. All that tape and egg does NOT look good for it.
The Year of Mike Jones! Get those bananas out of your ears! :D
Gee, that pitch video for Golden Axe sure does look a lot better than Beast Rider turned out to be. :P
