I’m an associate attorney at a small firm. The other three attorneys are all men and they are partners. I don’t know if a lot of this stuff is because I’m an associate or because I am a woman.

My former boss was ranting about how a female co-worker had to leave early to pick up her sick child from school. “It’s irresponsible. I have a kid and you don’t see me ever having to go pick her up because she’s sick.”

I have a coworker that I CANNOT. STAND. because he is so impossibly sexist. Yesterday he took me around to take a look at some building systems that I am auditing. The amount of “don’t stand too close to that, you’ll get all dirty” and “women aren’t really cut out for this kind of work because it’s too messy” comments

I was told that my attire was “too corporate” and that I should try to “soften” my look up. My normal attire is button down shirts and slacks, just like the other (male) employees. I asked what the clothing allowance was so that I could replace my presumably offensive wardrobe on the company’s dime.

All the times I’ve said something to a man, was kind of ignored, then what I said was repeated by another man and that turned out to be a great idea/funny/helpful/worthy of attention.

I worked at Applebee's for almost three years in my hometown of about 22,000 people. I was working full time as a hostess and the to-go server, and was also working full time in our local junior high school in a classroom for troubled kids. I'd get to the school at 7:00 in the morning, work until 3:30, go home, change

Karen Blake (or anyone in a similar position) should look into getting a sexual harassment suit filed through the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission). A thing that a lot of people don't realize is that for victims in most employment law cases, one can usually get free legal counsel through the EEOC—this

I don't know why anyone would be obligated to do anything in the bedroom. Penises of the world, no one owes you a blow job, no matter how swell you think you are.

Somewhere in the world a child's life is forever ruined because she/he never got their acceptance letter to Hogwarts.... a moment of silence please, because thats a tragedy like no other.

Pretty sure that honor is reserved for Canada geese. Vile tempered shit machines... Owls stay away from people, they don't attack random kids walking through the park, and most of them don't poop. A vast improvement over geese.

The other thing that makes my blood boil is what is between the lines here: "people of color don't deserve these jobs as well as we do. WHITE people don't deserve to be out of jobs, but ethnic people- well they can deal with it, right!?" This is the subtext in ANY conversation like this- whether it's minorities

But why is this a "POC quota" when it is actually what audiences want—and if audiences didn't REALLY want it, there is no way they would get any traction whatsoever. Its not like someone mandated that they just include X token minorities to get some government contract. This is a direct response to public

Girls participating in science experiments? THANKS, OBAMA.

I would punch it with my mouth.

Q: HOW TO HIT ON WOMEN AT THE GYM?

Oh dear god... let's just get it ALL right out into the open, shall we...

No one is saying having kids is a walk in the park for either gender in a heterosexual relationship, but come on. Men don't spend as much time as women thinking about the consequences of having a child because they don't have to. They don't mentally map out when is the right time to have kids to be successful in their

At one point, she asked if he would consider quitting his job to be a stay-at-home father given how much he wanted a baby. "That just wasn't the plan he had in mind," she said.
