Aaron Foley regularly writes about the state of Detroit. Those posts regularly get pushed to the FP, similarly to FA articles.

FA gets shared to the FP of Jalopnik. FA content is great but its not about cars. At least its often about machines though and not about Detroit Politics. Aaron's articles are excellent but they belong somewhere like Gawker, not Jalopnik.

There's a big difference. A difference between the penalty for the emissions equipment violation? No. A difference between being handed a citation for tampering with emissions equipment or tampering with emissions equipment, criminal charges for assault and a potential civil action for assault and battery? Huge

I don't like bro-trucks. Never have, never will. Personally, I don't understand the appeal. That said, I have no problem with people driving them when they're set up correctly. They can be irritating but so long as they're not modified to be downright dangerous, it's an irritation I'll happily put up with for the

Jalops might, but as we know we're a tiny, tiny piece of the market. This won't dig into mustang sales any more than the Focus ST has dug into V6 Mustang sales in years past.

This is some cool technology. Great idea. However, like others, I have some reservations about adding all this tech when many of us either don't want to pay for it, or want the weight (How much does this system weigh anyway?). Doubtlessly, this is added to the purchase price of the product. Instead of making this

It was deliberate. Ford was more interested in building a legend than building sales. They intentionally cut off production while demand was high to artificially inflate their desirability for years to come. It ensured that the "halo" effect of this halo car would stick around for decades.

Agreed. I doubt this case would make it past a motion for summary judgment. However, discovery alone could cost Porsche a lot of money. Settlement to just make this go away wouldn't surprise me if judges aren't careful about pre-trial motions.

This is wonderfully comical. It's like a charicature of all the things at once.

Unfortunately CPO sales wont convince them to build more :/

Nope, its just greed.

We had little robots that would plastic wrap the damn things, and we did the ratchet strapping too. Great people working there but I don't miss the splinters and paper cuts.

I used to work in a newspaper packaging plant. Shattering pallets were a nightmare.

As someone in law school I can tell you that all the prosecutor probably had to do was convince the jury that this man somehow knew his car was going to be part of a violent felont where someone's death was a foreseeable consequence. Jury's are fickle, this doesn't surprise me.

I don't know about the rest of the US, but here in KC, I know there are at least 3. One of them likes to drive around my campus in probably second gear. That machine is amazing but that sound is not pure aural pornography. One of the mustang guys on campus has some sort of exhaust on his 4.6. I could listen to

If my memory of prices after the 2010 refresh or the 2011 engine update is any indication... significantly less than they are now.

At this pricepoint? And they include full-on racing under their warranties? I was uaware.

Just make sure it's toward the end of your bucket list. It'll do its best to kill you.

Cool, everybody wins. Look, we all know Ford can't warranty cover a race car. No company can. The wear and tear of actual racing makes everything into a consumable part if all you're doing is competitive racing. They found a way to add this feature and allow customers to use it without voiding the warranty.
