That is... not at all the point of overlanding, lmao. Of all the valid criticisms to levy against wannabe overlanders, this is the dumbest.

This is like going to see a movie, and getting pissed that they didn’t show you all the other movies you didn’t buy a ticket for.

I swear every time one of these lists come out there are directly conflicting slides. Here we have MULTIPLE slides about how big, ridiculous trucks need to go, but then we have a slide saying the Ridgeline needs to go, even though it is arguably the MOST REASONABLE truck for most people who want a truck.
I want a Tacoma the size of a 2000 Tacoma, lol. Which I guess in this market would be a super-ultra-tiny-subcompact truck. *le sigh*
It looks... huge :(
TWENTY INCH front brake rotors? Holy fuck, what in the world... is this a BMW or an Airbus?!
A real enthusiast with that much money would absolutely own a Tesla given it's one of the most important and influential vehicles ever in the history of the automobile.
My Dad Threatened the Instructor (but it isn’t what you think)
Huh? 5-60 MPH test results are usually SLOWER than 0-60 MPH test results. The whole point of a 5-60 MPH test is to provide a much more real-world number that eliminates the violent, drive-train-destroying, high-RPM, drop-clutch launch that testers perform to get the best times. A 5-60 time will almost ALWAYS be slower…
“no a Bronco Sport in any trim is not an appropriate vehicle for this trail”
“Could and experienced driver navigate one down this trail? Sure.”
So which is it? Is it that the vehicle is inadequate, or that the person behind the wheel was? If it’s the vehicle, then are you suggesting that she’d have been fine if she was…
Can we stop with the hyperbole about this vehicle? It’s more than capable of doing some relatively bad-ass off-roading. It’s definitely not a fucking Corolla.
The passenger sustained serious injuries because she was ejected. It’s not really the fault of the vehicle if people don’t wear their seatbelts.
Wat about that yearly trip to IKEA. How does your Cruz Diesel cope with that? Shouldn't you have just bought a pickup truck to deal with all your yearly scenarios?
If I'd seen them doing that, I'd have bolted full speed into their open car door and driven away with their car 🤣
Jason Cammisa did a pretty sweet video about this car a few weeks ago:
Yeah, but in this country, going to the hospital means being in debt for the rest of your life.
My question is, do these ships move and maneuver to scale? Or is it like an R/C car where it zooms around way faster than it otherwise would? It would be cool if these ships also had the same slow reactions as the full-size versions, but my guess is that this is more about navigation through the canal, rather than how…
I highly doubt every shift into reverse is monitored.
