I’m all for function over form for these kinds of utilitarian things, but it actually pisses me off how ugly this thing is. How hard is it to design something that’s going to be seen everywhere that isn’t this disgusting to look at?!

Meh. A smartphone is more secure that physical keys, if you lose it, they still can’t just USE it to get into things. Additionally, a smartphone is so engrained into your everyday life, that you’re honestly much less likely to lose it since you use it so frequently... and if you do, you’ll notice much sooner. PLUS, a…
I hate to judge cars based on their drivers (especially since I drive a BRZ, which seems to be almost exclusively driven by stance-tard idiots), but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a slingshot that wasn’t driven that someone who looked like, some sort of trailer-trash, Trump-worshipping moron. #ExtremePredjudice
And after a few years, when your windshield is sandblasted with little rock chips, they'll start reducing engine power until you buy a brand new car. They'll say it's for the driver's safety since they can't see as well as they would through a new windshield.
Because the same properties that make them great in cold weather (soft rubber, wiped tread blocks) make them absolutely crap in warm weather. Braking distance goes to shit in warm westher as they simply are too soft and flexible and can’t properly grip the road surface.
Alternatively, don’t buy shitty wheels, and they won’t add 843773 lb per corner to the car like I see so many people doing in the Toyobaru groups I’m in. The 18x9 wheels I put on my BRZ are actually lighter than the stock 17x7 wheels. Granted, the rotational inertia still increases slightly since the tire is a bit…
I get what you’re trying to say here, but I’m going to have to disagree with regards to this car. This car isn’t a Boxer. It’s meant to be a grand tourer. My only car is a manual BRZ and I love daily driving it, but not everyone wants to row their own gears. Nobody is buying this Z4 to take it on the track. If they…

My usual speed on the highway has always been to go slightly faster than most traffic (while occasionally being passed by the really fast peeps). That used to mean 75-78 MPH on highways in Chicagoland, where the speed limit is a ridiculously low 55 MPH, but where everyone does about 70 on average...
I look forward to seeing what subtle tweaks they make to this design for the 2034 model year!
Power has very little to do with it. Something us Miata/BRZ/etc... fans have been trying to tell the Hellcat crowd for years now.
I hate the interior on these. It's so disjointed. Like 7 different people were each assigned different parts to design and nobody communicated.
Nah, those seem like pretty typical numbers for high-powered LED lights. I have a 20" Rigid bar on my BRZ, with 20 LEDs, and it draws 118W/8.5A.
Spoken like someone who has never owned a vehicle with heated seats ;)
Sure, but my point is still valid. Advertising on some websites has gotten completely out of control.
Cars can topple off of in ground lifts too. The goal is to know what you’re doing. Do your research, and buy (and inspect) parts that you know you can trust. Then do research and learn the proper way to use those parts. If you’re smart about it, then you shouldn’t need to worry about using those parts. There is always…
Yeah. The ESCO stands that I have aren’t quite THAT wide, but they are significantly wider that the standard style, like those in your photo. They also have a massive, wide, padded top that won’t fuck up your pinch welds.
I have no real qualms about working under jackstands, but that's because I buy big, beefy jackstands that won't fail or topple over unless something cataclysmic happens. I still leave the jack extended under the car unless it gets in the way, though.
