Also notice how they added functioning turn signals to the mule just to throw everyone off.

I’ve had some interesting experiences with returns from Amazon. First, I was ordering some bookshelf speakers, but I accidentally ordered 8 ohm speakers instead of 4 ohm speakers. Upon receipt, and realizing my mistake, I called them. They told me I could return the L/R channel speakers, but the center channel was not

Credit where it’s due. The transition from informative to infomercial was so subtle it took me a moment to understand what had just happened.

Lol, I wouldn’t say that the Camaro is McDonalds and the BRZ is Sushi. It’s more like the Camaro is pork, and the BRZ is chicken, and it just depends on what you like more!

When LeMans is over, the guy in 4th place doesn’t go, “Damn, I missed podium, but if there was lap times that took “feel” into account, this Toyota would have destroyed those Audis.”

You’re right. You don’t.

Ugh. Again, when I said they aren’t in the same league, I wasn’t saying the Twins are FASTER. I meant that they handle completely differently in terms of how they feel.

It’s also worth noting, and this has been brought up in other discussions, that the guy driving the Camaro who beat everyone at Nationals is known to

You might want to re-read my post. I wasn’t complaining. Also take a closer look at my profile picture ;)

I don’t disagree with that. That’s the unfortunate thing about this car. It is designed to be better SUBJECTIVELY, which makes it very difficult to explain why it is good to most folks. I would have hoped there were more automotive enthusiasts who understood that raw numbers only tell part of the story, but if there

And I’m saying that the whole point of this car was never to be about raw numbers, so evaluating the car “objectively” is a bit silly. If objective numbers are the only thing that matter to you, then you aren’t the target demographic. The car is designed SPECIFICALLY for people who don’t care about objective numbers,

That’s not at all what I’m “demanding.” I’m simply demanding that he understand the purpose and intent of the vehicle. If his preferences don’t align with the intended use case of this vehicle, then he should look elsewhere. That doesn’t make this car a silly vehicle. It just means it isn’t for him.

Too many people

I said they aren’t in the same league. I never said what metrics I was using to make that determination. If you want to put words in my mouth, that’s fine, but let me attempt, YET AGAIN, to clarify my statement.

They aren’t in the same league as far as HANDLING FEEL. They might put down similar numbers, but they arrive

Fact: An FR-S weighs 700 lb less than a V6 Camaro, and about 1,000 lb less than a ZL1.

Fact: A car which weighs 1,000 lb less than another car will handle differently.

Why is it silly? They handle COMPLETELY differently. Two cars can have identical figures and still be entirely different as far as how they feel. Jesus tap-dancing christ why is it so hard for “enthusiasts” to understand this?! You don’t buy a Twin because it is FASTER, or corners HARDER. You buy it because of how it

As a BRZ driver, I can tell you that you are grossly exaggerating how much work it takes to pass a “normally accelerating” vehicle.

The reason you don’t understand this car is because you’re clearly a numbers guy. And while numbers are cool, there are other metrics by which to judge a vehicle. And as a numbers guy, I expect you to now poke fun at that second sentence.

Just because you have to “plan to pass” doesn’t mean it is unsafe. Hint: 97% of cars on the road today have to “plan to pass.” If you require a car that does 0-60 in 4.4 seconds in order to pass safely, then you should probably have your license revoked, because you surely drive like an idiot.

Actually no, it isn’t. It is an entirely different kind of handling. I’m not talking about raw skidpad ratings. But nevermind, you won’t understand what I’m getting at, so this discussion is pointless.

Yes, but it’s not a Miata, so it is SLOOOOOWWWW!!! #racism

A Camaro or a Mustang aren’t in even close to the same league in the handling department as this car.

If you want a Camaro or Mustang, then fine; nothing wrong with that! But if your focus is a car with the handling of the BRZ, then your only two options are this or the Miata... and if it has to be a daily driver, the
